We can't quantify it because under different conditions it performs differently. Can we just agree that's more like ~5 men? Meet in the middle? Then we can go back to the actual heart of the thread which is the upcoming changes in the patch, of which the maxim barely is impacted by. |
That is pretty true.
I really do like the changes that are coming for the Sturmpio, finally in terms of scaling and that nade that was hardly ever used. That I am quite thankful for, the changes that are coming.
I think the AT package has to be somehow available and viable.
I mean for 1 Panzerschreck for 70 ammo, you have to admit, it is a lot.
If I compare and contrast the Pzgrens package which is 100 ammo, being only costing +30 more ammo, it is much more worth the effect and investment.
Even comparing and contrasting the Penals package is pretty much better for a cheaper price. Both Pzgrens and Penals packages performing at an efficient rate, with a good price.
Sturmpio AT is just not at an efficent rate nor is it at a good price.
I do not see how you can use much out of 1 Panzerschreck for 70 ammo, price and efficiency, simply not matching.
It should at least shoot slightly faster by 1 or 2 seconds max. Then that would have a punch and effect. For that 70 ammo. Dont you think it deserves that for its price?
Maybe the AT package should be either revamped or given to some other unit instead?
I would sooner add more value to the package than make it cheaper because of the reason I mentioned before. Passive vehicle detection? Maybe a snare? Faster mine planting? More mines? Better mines? I'll admit I'm not entirely sure but am sure that a cheaper package would have a negative impact on the game. |

I think all smokes should be changed and delayed more.
As of now, it is pretty too quick.
I think light vehicles are ok having the insta pop smoke, it's the durable ones that give it a bad name. Oddly enough those durable ones also have blitz so it's made even stronger. |

Its likley because conscripts are not meant to be independent like volks are and the only unit that is actually worth supporting (penals) doesn't need conscripts to support them. Penals are a tesla and cons are engine oil. But like bad engine oil, you know you are supposed to use it but it's so bad it actually does more damage to your engine than actually helping. Mostly because they are not engine oil they are sand, which has no place anywhere near the inside of your engine and like not even the good sand that you could maybe use for traction if you get stuck. |
I don't understand the pak howitzer change. The problem was it obliterated squads when it hit them, not its accuracy of autofire. Now it's just going to obliterate squads "sometimes". Regardless of how frequently something obliterates squads (see KT) it is still frustrating AF for the receiver if there is no counterplay. Just give the brummbar treatment.
Reminds me of the old is-2 that was a meme for missing or wiping. Also the old kv-2... And isu.... The ones that moved away from that design and were all the better for it. I agree that a re-evaluation might be needed for that change |
The power of the Shrek is that in an instant it will deliver 120 damage without chance of bouncing any core non hammer/anvil allied vehicles. It's a snap shot damn near guaranteed damage. Again, making it too affordable will allow the newly buffed Sturm to be less of a risk for the reward if you lead with multiple. Very bad direction |

on topic, i think its a decent suggestion, though i would rather see it changed to something that can be used offensively than an escape tool, or at least forethought (like a delayed activation)
additionally, remember last patch when the bren carrier's self heal got a cost increase so fausts break even? anyone mind comparing the costs of button, which also requires a hefty muni upgrade to unlock and ptac that cancels it? |

Slow aura heal but also the medics as now? That could work actually. Fixes all the problems really.... If your infantry gum up the medics that one gulag bound bastard in the middle will still heal. If the medics flock to your team mate your units will still heal, slowly but still. Maybe tie it to 2 buildings and the medic upgrade? |

Not necessarily. Again, assuming cons get a look at, namely a price reduction, say 220mp and then the actual cost would remain unchanged, but multi maxim strats would become costly. You would need to balance it with cons or lose the whole map.
Also maxims made functional is required of course. |
