the problem with penals are:
OP early game, they beat grens and volks at all ranges even if you get the upper hand in any engagement.
Late game, not as OP they begin to lose to vetted and upgraded axis infantry.
I personally hope the early game effectiveness gets nerfed along with some lategame buffs for this unit |

The Jackson deserves all the buffs it's getting, as it's also getting a hefty cost increase, it's USF only lategame vehicle that has only one job, I don't see why it shouldn't be above average at it.
It's the thing USF lategame is missing to be decent without commanders and it might be needed now that Armor is gonna get nerfed.
His point is the jackson is way to effective at countering mediums whilst USF have AT guns, bazookas and shermans for that. Also the Jackson has insane accuracy and dont forget it also has 0.75 accuracy on the move compared most other tanks at 0.5. |
Alright, sure, but you realize you are putting the onus onto the community after the fact? I am not seeing a process to these changes. The changes come first, and then the community has to respond? The only option is to be reactionary.
Then people start to get mad too and then people's critical opinions get modded.
I mean, it cant be too hard to propose changes before implementing them into your mod. It'd help screen a lot of these discussions.
thers no harm putting changes into the mod as long as its not in the live game. Gives chance to people test out the changes quickly. Most changes come from community responses btw, but i do agree were ther have been some random changes not by the community but the preferences of the modders themselves which imo is a bit unfair |

its a very different type of tank destroyer with fixed gun, lower pen and high rate of fire which means it suppose to counter low armored vehicles the jackson. As of this moment jackson hard counters every single OKW tank except the jp4 (with good micro you can still beat the jp4), but no you want it to hard counter that too |
I really like the new Kübelwagen, however putting it as starting unit is just a no-go.
KT buffs should be reverted, the AoE changes are just too much.
Jackson can be countered too easily with a JP4. Just put it's HP to 560/640 and you have a decent vehicle.
Btw, did you remove the original vet2 bonus of the Obersoldaten?

all excellent changes, just dont agree with kubel as a starting unit. All factions start with a unit that has a use all game, kubel usefulness is map dependent and his little use mid-lategame. |

also td/heavie argument works in reverse too and its a lot of investment too..
its not about factions as whole but making units like jadg/elefant useless
part of me thinks you made these and sturm ones too for team games (although you still haven't touched commander abilites) there maybe i could agree but make a seperate balance for team games but these changes make them useless in 1v1
ele and jagd wer OP in teams games, with these changes they become more counterable, and you dont need ele and jagd to defeat late game allied tanks (once brit get their nerfs). i dont get what your moaning about, what exactly do you want to happen |
seriously though overall, very good changes on all the factions ONLY IF THEY ARE Implemented together. If relic comes and picks and chooses what you can and cant put into the live game (scope) then don't put anything in.
