Acutally he is right. Somehow it did not got saved in the code. But in the hotfix (should be coming soon) it will get his 70 range as it stands in the patchnotes.

As far as the officer goes, I assume this is based off tightrope's test video where the units loses hilariously to penals pre vet 5. And yeah it looks kinda bad. I always thought the ober models actually had ober RA value and just the officer model was going to 0.91 RA.
I think the unit could be a bit stronger since it is limited to 1, arty field officer is pretty decent and has great utility as well. That's a good benchmark IMO.

A Major is by definition, an officer. Is he an "officer" in the context of the game? I don't know but I'm not understanding why every single unit OKW has always has to be "more effective" while every single unit UKF has is "too effective" hence the constant nerfs over the years.

Well I just tested it out in-cheat mod and the JT would literally not miss a single shot. Not sure how it is then that it missed so many shots in all the actual games I used it in in the last months. I had a game on Minsk today where the JT would miss a Comet twice at around range 10. wtf that’s mathematically impossible |
He's clearly better than before; almost every change was a buff. Just the higher CP requirement and slightly worse Mark Target before vet.
Even if he's still not great, it's better to make small changes for balance. This gives the balance team and playerbase more time to figure out his power level. Maybe the changes were enough, maybe not. Maybe there is some bug that counts the shot at the end of a rotation towards target as still moving? I noticed that it's usually those that the JT misses. Like when you order it to attack, it rotates the vehicles then once the vehicle is in range it shoots and misses. I dont't think it's a coincidence either. I sometimes used the JT for casual fun games before the last changes and it was insane how often it would miss. The "new" JT did the same when I played today. Even on ranges around 20-30 or sometimes even lower than that.
u could try putting a Jackson at mid range of the jt and see if it misses, it should have 100% chance to hit at mid range |
