They'll learn eventually, just need to lose some tanks and let the denial period pass. Nice to see that you finally accepted that PTRS are valid threads to tanks. These are the changes PTRS had: "Infantry-Based AT Rifles - Boys AT Rifles, PTRS-41 AT Rifles are being made more responsive, making it more difficult to dodge the opening volley and in-line with other infantry AT weapons. Furthermore, AT Rifles can now use attack ground and will have a projectile to soft counter abilities such as smoke. Ready-aim time from 1.25 to 0.5 PTRS Rifles can now attack ground and has a projectile" And 0.625 ready aim time difference and projectile did not turn them from bad to a valid thread to tanks. Admittedly those commanders are fairly meta, right? Unrelated, but are we expecting the Balance team to have a look at Canister Shot at any point? My understanding is that it's kinda useless. ... M-42 already has has abilities and does need the canister shot which was a bad idea to add in the first place. It was OP when it had it full range so they reduce the range instead of removing it. Sort of nice (for soviet) that they're impossible to outrange by most AT tanks, incidentally... though this isnt really that big a deal in practice. Penal are inline with AT squad vs mediums. Again no they do not, they have around 3 times that at 10. One schreck have 10 deflection damage also, with 170 penetration at max range. With 3 PTRS they will do 30 damage on deflection. No panzershcek does not do 10 damage on deflection. Doesn't make it high tho, still low. 2 shrecks will murder med faster then 3 PTRS. So will 2 zooks and 2 PTRS. That is incorrect they do 10 damage per shot on deflection, hand held AT weapons do a base damage and extra damage to vehicles. The added bonus is since there is a large number of shot their is a good chance to cause critical on vehicles. In: COH2 Balance

You can also build infantry or artillery to disperse penals before pushing with tanks. Furthermore, zooks and piats are not "kill or don't do much at all". They do consistent dmg to lights/mediums. 3x ptsr is still low dmg with no nuke potential like shrecks, so it's either a L2P issue which arose after a bad game vs soviets and this is nothing but a rant thread 3 PTRS do not have low DPS, their DPS is good especially for a relevantly cheap stock AT unit. Even with smoke, it would be just as fine as it is now. You won't hit anyone with working ears with it anyway, unless its static piece you're targeting. That is simply false. Contrary to what you post there other abilities with very little scatter for at least one of their shots and those shots even dose damage than the stuka. In: COH2 Balance
