For USF its good couple of seconds before launchers get the smoke to where it needs to be, same with cromwell smoke, PT however is instant and on the tank. Most of the time it is simply better to keep driving than try and cover your retreat with the smoke launchers. Although I know they are really intended for offensive purposes. In: COH2 Balance

But strong doesn't necessarily mean overpowered or that it requires a change. If you put a gun on my head and force me to change something i'll just make it so you can't use both smoke and blitzkrieg at the same time. A shared cooldown would make sense to me. If anything its just dull knowing that the majority of axis armour you encounter is going to start vomiting smoke at some point during the encounter. If reverse speed existed in this game then I think it would mitigate/negate so many issues. As it stands at the moment, armour gets into trouble and belches smoke while reversing in blitz faster than allied tanks can pursue. In: COH2 Balance

Cost 40 munition Or maybe make it so that 1 crew member survives on a sliver of health and auto retreats when a vehicle is destroyed? Allowing you to potentially preserve vehicle vet... In: Lobby

The only way the UK and France started WW2 was with the treaty of Versailles and by not being firm enough with Germany early on. The Uk did not declare war against Russia as the alliance only covered the event of Germany attacking Poland unless I am mistaken.....also some nations have the common sense not to fight on multiple fronts when they don't have to unlike Germany. Conscripts would be mini-engineers that wouldn't be able to do what Combat Engineers can do: get flamethrowers or minesweepers. It still keeps it doctrinal, but if a majority of commanders have a meaningful/useful conscript passive/upgrade option then you'd achieve a rather similar result. Exactly, I don't think conscripts will ever be an amazing fighting force by themselves. However, they could synergise with other units in a way that other factions mainline infantry can't. if nothing else they could be a unit to dump all the lacklustre doctinal junk on to make way for better abilities in some commanders. Like a repair upgrade (and replace the conscript repair in the commander with something else) or a recon flare ability etc. So make them a jack of all trades master of none unit. In: COH2 Balance
