I would say that Panthers are quite viable in both 1v1 and 2v2 now. My question is, why would anyone go for a Panzer IV now? Panther is more survivable, stronger against enemy tanks, and can deal reliable damage to infantry as long as it has its pintle MG42 upgrade. For the OKW it is especially bad, because it costs only 35 more fuel, for the WM you have the option of going for Ostwind, Sturmpanzer, or Panzerwerfer for anti-infantry duty. Therefore, I propose that we improve the Panzer IV by making it more affordable (perhaps 110FU for WM version, 125FU for OKW variant) on-par with Allied medium tank offerings. Otherwise, buff its performance so that it stands out against all the other armor the faction has to offer. For the WM, I would propose a fuel cost decrease to 110FU or 120FU. This would make it more affordable in the light of a much more expensive (but better) Panther, also it would make T3 even more well defined as a Tier with less expensive armor options. For the OKW, due to the fact that OKW T4 armor are primarily anti-tank, I would propose a hull MG and coaxial MG buff, so that it would be more effective against infantry (similar to how the T-34/76 and T-34/85 were buffed). Perhaps use the Sdfkz. 234/2 Puma's co-axial MG?
I favor this change over elchino's, this would truly eliminate the option of planting demos in the open. It would also be much more interesting for the player to find ways to hide their demolitions. Minesweepers would still be effective though, since they automatically detect them at 30 range, regardless of cover. LoS still applies though, so you can use them to punish garrisoning effectively. I had this crazy idea for Lend Lease: -2CP Assault Guards (300MP): 2x SVT 4x Thompson, Guards grenade. The poor-man's Shocks. -2CP Heavy AT Guards (300MP): 4x Cons Mosin 2x M9 Bazooka, Tank Detection. Better stopgap AT infantry -3CP 3CP Conscript Bren Gun (60MU): unlocks 1x Bren upgrade for Cons -4CP Allied Supply Drop -10CP M4C Command Tank (380MP 250FU): M4C, 50m LoS, main gun 6/7.5 sec reload, +20% damage dealt 35m radius aura (doesn't affect itself) In: Lobby |

A few early thoughts, - Squad AI and spacing is great - T3 into T4 (and vice versa) is viable - M4Cs is viable even when locked to tech - DshK still strong, still very spammable - Conscripts are viable again - Molotovs (also, Incendiary Grenades) are really strong - Volley Fire works - Blobbing Riflemen is still viable - Everyone thinks twice before getting in houses Need more tests: - WM Panther. I feel that it's bad if you are facing medium tank spam, but it seems strong against advanced medium tanks and medium tank destroyers. - M36 Jackson. Definitely misses more shots now, failed to reliably penetrate Panther frontal armor multiple times, could be just bad RNG though. - TWP. Activated it with PaK 40, but never successfully fired yet, perhaps it's a micro thing. In: Lobby |

I'm probably not qualified to give feedback, but here goes: No, any feedback is great! Doesn't matter as long as you give reasonable advice Definitely, the Panther dive is probably where I lost. I didn't take out any tanks with it and lost a 200FU investment. In: Replays |

Actually, even if your monitor refresh frequency is 60Hz, higher FPS is still better. This is because while your monitor truly only shows 60FPS, if your computer is spitting out 120FPS to the monitor it will have more frames to choose from, which still makes it smoother than 60FPS to 60Hz. Of course, higher refresh rate monitors provide an even smoother experience, provided your GPU can keep up with it. If you can spit out 200 FPS, then a 144Hz gaming monitor will be smoother than a 60Hz monitor. If you're planning to play video games, especially first-person shooters competitively, then high refresh-rate monitors would be something that you should seriously consider. But if you're more casual, then I don't really see a purpose (unless you really REALLY like aesthetics!) |

How I did not know that! It's okay if you don't have previous experience, you can watch Youtube (just ask Swiftsaber or HelpingHans) to learn how to build a PC.
That build looks pretty sweet! However, I will make one suggestion, which is to get a higher wattage PSU. While the 550W PSU will power your system, it is best for your rig to be loaded at round 50%, where it would be most efficient. This is why I suggested a 750W PSU, and a Titanum-rated one at that. Don't skimp out on your PSU, especially since you're buying really expensive components! Also, as Pasilone pointed out, CoH2 is rather poorly optimized, thus it will have pretty abysmal framerates. |
