Personally wasn't so happy on the changes myself.
Hail OKW supremacy right? ;] |
I think that overall coh2 is a step backwards when compared to coh1. Coh1 was a revolutionary product implementing a lot of new mechanics while coh2 improved a little bit but not in a substantial way.
Since rumor have started about coh3 I would like to know your opinion on the matter. Maybe as coh community we could provide relic with some valuable feedback on what works and what doesnt work in coh franchise if relic ever decided to make coh3.
Please share your thoughts on parts of the game you enjoyed the most. Which elements do you feel are most important or have been the biggest issue or improvement. |
Since the FBP has been put on hold I propose to not stop working on the balance patch. I propose taking things one step further. Because its obvious that relic wants to abandon coh2 forever I propose to work on the next patch as if it was to be final and last. I know that relic didnt specify whether another patch is coming but they also didnt say it wont. So I think its best for the coh2 community to prepare one last balance patch. |
I actually blame it on something else. Faction design in flawed. Factions like ostheer or brits designed to be so defensive in nature that relic had to create some weakpoints for them. Thats why both ost snd brit infantries prefer long range, static fighting and are fairly squishy, ost even more than brits. Basically everything that ost has is very squishy and mp draining. Thats why both factions have so high quality/high dps units, because they are squishy. That when combined with narrow, badly designed maps makes for a really terrible gameplay for both sides. On the other hand both brits and ost are very susceptible to any flanks, mortars, arty, heavy AI vehicles. Because their units are so squishy you can literally wipe everything they have with one good arty or flank.
This is not really an enjoyable playstyle for anyone. One side is frustrated with overwhelming quality of enemy units, the other with their squishiness. I'd rather prefer if both sides had pros and cons but both were more less mobile and aggresive in nature, not static and defensive. |
What you're asking for is already there at FBP.
In FBP the satchels will always home in on the target, even after the target leaves range. Of course, the satchels will only be available if the Penal squad has bought the PTRS upgrade.
This is precisely to make the PTRS upgrade worth getting.
Thanks for the answer |
Is there a reason why penal satchels are are not 'sticky' like other vehicle snares? In case of every other vehicle snare ability even if the vehicle leaves snares range it still gets naded/fausted. But when a vehicle leaves satchel range (although its the smallest thing ever) the animation is canceled and satchel isnt thrown. Is there a reason why the same mechanics work different in case of penals? The satchel already has the lowest range of any abolity, so why doesnt it stick properly? After FBP nerf to penals the ability will cease to worth getting that ptrs and losing AI dps. |
Only exception would be the raketenwerfer. Too many times i saw the direct oneshoot after firing out of stealth.
I really really hate this unit
raketen is a very effective unit, one of the best at guns if used properly |
Yeah...maybe Helping hans is a noob, who have no clue from this game and struggle so hard vs this cancer...and the brit enemys was really bad..no one pushing the isg with infantery etc away.
look to the micro from hans..if it so easy to beat this cancer ...why struggle hans so hard and remember: this were bad enemy players...
Well, I dont know in which mode did he struggle and with which faction. If he struggled in 1v1 where he has most experience because he plays only 1v1 then maybe he isnt that good at all ^^. Recently AECOH made a faction rivalry tournament and ost won against brits 5-0 ^^. Final was played by Vonivan and Nogano and both of them are better than hans. Ost still clearly crushed brits. If Hans played 2v2 then he might have had a bit more problems but still he is less experienced in 2v2 than he is in 1v1. Being good at one mode doesnt make you good at other modes too. Also maybe your perception is skewed, you basically see what you want to see. Maybe Hans didnt struggle at all? Also Hans likes to nag a lot, maybe he was just constantly complaining and you mistook that for him struggling. Maybe he just doesnt like that kind of playstyle and thats all. |
I assume this is the arty commander with 4CP ability. I love it, great for really pissing people off
Brits have terrible indirect fire, so it helps a bit.
You strike me as someone who's sole purpose in life is to be passive aggresive and "piss people off". No offense ofcourse ;] |
build a sim city and need no micro and can sit back with a cup of tea ...in both hands...while your enemy need 1293089042389430 micro orders to beat this cancer...this is balance?
common...the emplacments are really to cheap! i mean 400manpower? thats one ober!
or one bofors? 30 fuel!! thats a 222!!
wtf is wrong here?
I really dont want to be rude friend but I practically never play vs sim city and if I do I have no problem at all. I showed you all the possible counters and in teamgames there are plenty more options to go. Lets say your friend goes OKW and breakthrough tactics, he uses assault artillery on the sector with all the emplacements, you prepare your p4s at the same time. Brit braces emplacements and probably retreats everything you wait out the artillery and brace and go in after its over, infantry covers tanks, tanks finish off emplacements one by one before the brit infantry even goes in. Or even easier you can build double leifh or one leifh each and barrage emplacements consecutively with each leifh. So your barrages outlast brace, thats an easy no micro strat. Also you can go mortar ht and use incediary barrages one after the other, they burn emplacements quite fast. There are numerous ways to deal with them. Brit cant retreat their emplacements like you can your mortar. He also cant pick up the emplacements after they get killed. You can always pick up an isg or mortar. Also emplacements are not mobile and they cost a lot so the brit wont have resources to cover the rest of the map. If you pressure him early with a sniper, infantry and mg he wont be able to put emplacements in the best spot, he will be forced to build them somewhere closer to his base. Thanks to that you can pressure the rest of the map easily. I know that some maps are stupidly narrow or small because retarded relic put 1v1 maps in 2v2 automatch etc. But then you have pressure them early with sniper or your double mortar. I always go double mortar vs birts because their infantry prefers long range static fights. For me personally playing vs static emplacements is far more comfortable than to be basepinned by constantly pushing okw for instance. It seems more reasonable. |
