I would add an extra command tree to each faction some extra units to each and extra automatch maps. Some balance to units and finally Africa as a new campaign. Also new dx 11 and bye bye COH2.

The collapse of the soviet mechanized corps saw most of Soviet union's armor lost in the first 2 weeks of the war- to abandonment.

The soviet winter counteroffensive of 1942-1943- while mostly successful, most Soviet tanks were also lost to abandonment rather than enemy fire as the logistics situation began collapsing by early 1943.

It's simply wrong to consider all or almost all AFV losses as 'due to enemy fire'.

So is the conclusion for Allied general staff thinking as follows:

"We have preponderance of air power. Our battle tanks are not as good as the Axis, but our air power will counter this. We know from Ultra that the Axis tanks have maintenance problems, so the Allied tankers must do the best they can, if we can turn out sufficient replacement tanks?"

I fear that this has to be the conclusion.

That's not true. With equal players, the Tiger ace -in its former glory- will always give you an edge. Sure it's beatable if your opponent is much worse than you. But no amount of thinking will prevail against a competent player.

Or you can drive a WC51 with rifles and kill/force every OKW unit off the field in the first minutes, and one-shot basebuildings with the 155mm artillery later on (pre-patch). Or you can get vet2 rifles without any additional cost. If you got the commander, of course.

The bottom line is: Some things give you an unfair (dis-)advantage. The necessity to have better "core mechanics" and macro than the opponent is exactly that.

I would tend to agree, but if you want to stop heroic SU throwing of grenades (various), you have to find something to substitute for that. Hero M3s?

Off topic: One of the mysteries for me is why the North West European campaign armies never developed a battle tank to match the Tiger or Panther. I fear this may be down to Montgomery, who saw tank battles as Mobility, with not much thought for amour or firepower. It was if the battle of Khursk never existed - maybe for the Allied General Staff, it never did?

I can agree with your sentiments entirely, as a collector of unwanted face plates galore. (But I am not sure that Ami now wants his visage to be associated with such sentiments......there was a Sunday in February this year, which stands in the Relic hall of infamy...)

As a supporter of the love that dare not tell its name -COHO- iirc, there was a trading station proposed for excess items. 'Habaneros' Noun was a fan of that iteration, though like many mealy mouthed persons at the time , he was sadly intimidated by the dawn chorus of the vCoH pterodactyls, who flew in cackling swarms over the Relic hut, threatening to dive bomb it with all sorts of guano,if the bastard vCoH child was not drowned at birth.

It was duly drowned.

And many consequences flowed from this.....some of which Relic now seem minded to resurrect.

In WFA, you see an abject apology of sorts from Relic, where Relic try to demonstrate what they really wanted to achieve with some of the Britz faction mechanics on OF (which failed miserably).

Give them time and space: Relic will get to where they need to be. Those of us who played COHO probably have more of a sense of direction, than the vCoH pterodactyls who ignored COHO (and no! I do not mean the reintroduction of Hero units like the Fatherland Machine Gun, or the epic US Sniper who sprinted while cloaked).

I would be surprised if an updated Relic version of the shop for COHO did not reopen at some point
