Thread: Soviet sniper unfair25 Apr 2017, 04:21 AM Jump back to quoted post24 Apr 2017, 14:06 PMEtherealDragon It makes plenty of sense - the OST Sniper is a one time 360 MP cost whereas the Soviet sniper costs 180 MP every time you drop a model on top of the 360 MP initial cost. So you ALWAYS spend more MP on Soviet Sniper unless you lose both models on their first tour of duty. When you take into account that Soviet Team has inferior stealth and often faces off against LMG greens where a single burst is enough to kill a model... well you can do the math. When you loose a soviet sniper model , su is down 180 mp. When you loose ost sniper, ost is down 360 mp. I wonder which is better? In: COH2 Balance

Well except one can retreat a squad facing a kubel and sturm. If a unit gets caught capping a far point, the clown car and flamer will wipe that squad. So maybe a bit less in that case. In: Lobby

Because 1919s, the quad, and the strafe all suck now. And arty cover in its current state is balanced due to that logic as well. Commando nade and bundled nades are the same thing I think. Could someone check out the stats on that? I know they have the same fuse. How do those 3 things suck? Sure you can't double 1919's but if you really want the dps, get a bar too. And arty cover would be balanced, it does need a spot for its arty do do anything, luckally for it that commander has a perminant recon plane. But also the commando made does like 200 or 350 damage, bundle nade does 120 In: COH2 Balance

What a logic. And FYI, the bundle its very capable of killing all 6 members from the weapon teams (which only the SU have btw) but whatever. Erm, yes? Lol. OP units are fine in doctrines as long as their are counterbalanced by that doctrines downsides. Like if one goes partisans, they shouldn't also have end game tanks. Meanwhile landmatress doc gets, flankers on the toughest and cheapest engineer unit in the game, spawn anywhere commandos that have an .8 second satchel charge, and the landmatress itself Oh and I'm pritty sure that commando nade does more damage, has less woe and has a shorter timer, so the abilities are defiantly notnequal In: COH2 Balance

The thing is that early OKW faust was meant to come at the same time as the other light-vehicle changes that we wanted to introduce in WBP. With the early faust, OKW could feel confident spitting out Volksgrenadiers (without having to worry about pesky rakketens) rendering light vehicles (minus M20) completely useless vs OKW. This left the way wide-open for Kubelwagons. I know that reverting the faust seems completely lame, since it makes MechHQ starts even less appealing than before. However that's the only thing we were allowed to touch from OKW (which, somehow, completely dodged infantry scaling changes in WBP, and then managed to get through GCS with the overwhelming majority of its cheese untouched). The choice was between making MechHQ less appealing, or keep light-vehicles completely unviable. This change is meant to be interpreted side-by-side with the overall changes to Brits and, especially, Soviets. How is m20 useless vs volks with fausts? It just kites at 30 range and picks off models. Isn't that how it's meant to be used? In: Lobby

And most of the time they reach vet 5. I don't believe you, were you playing 4v4? And of course that doesn't matter since the exception doesn't prove the norm or the fact that the mg34 has low dps and high vet requirements, making it impossible to vet fast In: COH2 Balance
