I thought in coh1 cover amplified grenades but in coh2 the only mechanic was if the projectile crossed green cover it only did 50% damage. Happy to be corrected. Personally I think soviet need to have slightly higher reinforce costs for a number of units so they bleed a little more to compensate for their resilience against squad wipes. I don’t feel any of their units are that op (besides sniper) but they just need to be less efficient to slow the spam By less damage I mean due to squad spacing it will hit less entities. But mg42 pinns better and has more "side-range" from left to right. IIRC MG42s suffer much more from supression and pinning than the Maxim DPS wise. Also I watched the replay, you do know that grenades do less damage when a squad is in open cover, right? If you know that why are you wasting muni, when you can just walk closer with falls and deathloop the maxim? Also being afk for the first minute doesnt help either. In: COH2 Balance

Therefore it was possible to see volks win engagements with a shrek, negating medium armor play while still being competitive in infantry engagements. By themselves volks couldn't win engagements, especially against the era of terminator 2x1919s rifles. And mediums could just sit at 40 range and kite for days or run them over like the crushwell In: COH2 Balance

In which case how many panther shells is the su76 going to bounce? Or pak43 shells? Or JP4 shells? HELL an su76 is only going to bounce 1 in 2 222 shells and the stug can bounce full blown tank shells at max range almost the same amount of times (80 pen at max for t34/140 armour) falling to 1/3 with vet. What the fuck do you expect? A jp4 clone? To put it in perspective, the Jackson only has 10 less armour yet that is considered to have paper armor (enough for it to get a HP buff ) And as I said before , if the su76 is allowed to have 60 range, so should the stug In: COH2 Balance

A 222 actually killing a vehicle from behind in an in game situation where it has to avoid mines, cons, guards, at penials, machine guns etc. And you are FOS if you are suggesting that blobbing 222s are as effective to the same degree that su76s are. Less range for sure, but more forgiving against everything being able to bounce some shots and tank a whole shot more. Plus TWP in a stug pack meant nothing was safe. You can kill an su7y with a 222 however you would be hard pressed to kill a stug with a 30 fuel investment, even if hellen keller was controlling the stugs STUG only has 140 (with 30% at vet 2) armour, against what guns is this high armour?
