Thread: Buff Allied "Heavy Tanks"3 Aug 2021, 18:37 PM Jump back to quoted post2 Aug 2021, 19:22 PMSolved The thing is that these tanks don't seem to be able to compete even with the worst Axis heavy tank in terms off performance , basicly what all the vs Panther videos where all about. They just don't reflect the cost for how bad they perform and you are just better off just spamming a bunch off tank destroyers. Unless you think that heavy tanks don't perform well enough versus infantry to justify their cost then that's not really much of an argument. Heavies do well enough versus Panther that if they are supported by infantry or support weapons they can force it off or have them risk losing the Panther. Just because they don't win in a vacuum doesn't mean they need buffed. Sure, if you want to kill tanks you are better off spamming TDs but that's not nearly as flexible as a heavy tank that can also force infantry retreats. Which again, is the whole point of heavy tanks in this game. In: COH2 Balance

They underperform significantly while the resource costs do not even reflect the performance off these tanks. What do you think they should do? You seem to fixate on how they perform versus Panthers but their role isn't supposed to be "anti-panther" (indeed it's the other way around where Panther is anti-heavy tank so it shouldn't be surprising that Panthers do well here). Heavy Tanks are generalists that can soak shots and can damage anything but don't necessarily excel versus anything in particular. Just appreciate them for what they are - generalists that you don't have to babysit because they don't die to 4 AT gun shots. Nobody wants to go back to the "heavy tank every game" meta and overtuning them against Panthers is a surefire way to get there. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Weak & Incorrect Intel Bulletins29 Jul 2021, 19:13 PM With the coming of COH3 and the relative low impact of most bulletins they probably won't get touched any time soon if ever. Though I am curious about the maxim suppression bulletin. It was nerfed to 1% in the Maxim spam glory days but at some point the text reverted back to 5% in game. Always thought that if it was 5% that it was one of those borderline bulletins that might be good. In: COH2 Balance

They're known as Soviet paratroopers, yet they still arrive as an infiltration unit like Stormtroopers and Partisans. The decision to make them look like an airborne unit who previously infiltrated the target area has never been reasonable since the day the Airborne Troops Tactics commander was announced. -Either the upgrade that grants 3x DP-28 light-machine guns must have a slight improvement by augmenting its overall firepower or the 3th experience level must grant 40% accuracy bonus instead of only 30% to promote the usage of these light-machine guns. I'm like 99% sure the balance team wasn't able to animate the parachuting in due to game engine limitations so they had to settle for infiltration. The first iteration of them had them appearing inside a smoke barrage like god damn ninjas in lieu of parachuting but you can imagine why they scraped that lol. I think the 3X DPs are fine - they do more damage than Regular guards and can be fired on the move which is a big perk. I think the most they need is a better/reworked Vet 1 ability and maybe give them Suppressing Fire similar to Paratroopers' ability (or have that be the new Vet 1). In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Sandstorms (AKA Sandtech)28 Jul 2021, 17:08 PM This is going to be either love it or hate it from portions of the community. If it's going to happen it needs to be either limited to certain maps that people can veto and avoid, be a separate queue, or just be a feature for custom games that the weather die hards can play. I don't see it being a regular feature in ranked play going over well. In: COH3 Central
Thread: Fallshirms are OKW power creep28 Jul 2021, 17:05 PM Falls are fine but they just have the potential to be cheesey (constant camo ambushes on heavily cratered maps or brute force blobbing which is counterable but can feel OP if your anti blobbing skillz aren't great). It's just one of those things where you have to realize what your opponent is doing and be methodical in how you counter it and don't play into bad MP trades. In: COH2 Balance

Listen....Let me be crystal clear here:- I think it's just that people can see your lack of self awareness and maturity and want to comment on it. It's pretty obvious that you see on some level that what you say in game has gotten you banned. Whether or not you think what you said was justified in defense of yourself doesn't really matter - the effect is the same. People aren't going to understand why you continue to complain about Bans when you know why you were originally banned and now you know why you were banned a second time for creating a second account. So you can drop it now. It's pretty simple. Either learn to control your temper and bite your tongue and not respond to people in game (in defense of yourself or not) or expect more bans in the future. You may not think it's fair or Relic sucks but none of that is going to change so don't expect many people on here to be sympathetic to you because you should know what the results of your actions are going to be. This isn't being judgmental it's just exasperation that you should know better by now. In: COH2 Gameplay

It's a choice and something that can supplemented easily by things like Sturm med kits or Opel Ambulance in Firesturm. They've also gone out of their way to make back teching to Medics easier in a recent patch so it's easier than ever to go Mechanized then Medics if you really want to. In: COH2 Balance

After that, everyone watches the minimap and somebody builds a quad. I haven't tried it since the quad nerf so maybe it's better now. To be fair team game wise I only play 2s so it's more likely that the team doesn't get any AA. In that way I think overall it's a mostly balanced ability that still has the potential to be situationally very useful. In: COH2 Balance

It feels a lot like the IL2 loiter, which sometimes does something but often seems like a waste of munitions. In both cases, I'd rather just build a bunch of mines. I don't know. I feel like it always does something even if it doesn't kill anything. Since it's anti everything it basically guarantees you map control unless you have AA and want to roll the dice with staying in the circle. (probably a bad idea in most cases as anyone with half a brain will have a tank dive ready to follow up the off map with) I feel like the cost increase made it more balanced in that it's less spammable but the "anti-everything" is bad design IMO. So yes, definitely worth the munitions and I would say mostly balanced in terms of cost to performance ratio but still pretty lame to play against. In: COH2 Balance
