Even if Allies do have a higher win% unless you show that when Airborne/Recon was picked that the Allies won a disproportionate amount of the time AND that Pathfinders contributed to that that hypothetical lopsided winning rate then that doesn't mean anything at all. OP opens with asking about countering HMG spam but then complains about tank trap build time and how you can build ambulance right away (as if Ambulance openers were super OP). Some interesting ideas but if the goal is to make ATG spam less prevalent than IDK if these changes will do much to affect the 2X ATG meta. Nobody really builds ATGs just to kill sandbags its just a byproduct of having one built and available. I don't think the sandbag nerf incentivizes ATGS any more than you would expect. Nor does building ATGs really crowd out mortars with the exception of the ZIS which is a whole other story. I feel like you have sufficient incentive to build mortars now even if they don't shine as much as ATGs in your average game. (if anything to help counter ATG spam ironically enough) In: Lobby
Thread: COH3 Retreat Paths, Solved21 Sep 2021, 18:52 PM Predictive retreat sounds like a cool idea but I don't know how useful it will be depending on the pace of gameplay for COH3. A lot of time retreats are split second reactions to grenades or you being on the receiving end of an unanticipated RNG damage and you don't usually have the time to consider retreat paths. You would need a quick way to toggle between the preview of the path and being able to start the retreat so that it's useful beyond the few slow paced engagements in the early game. In: COH3 Central
Thread: important balance stuff for coh3 up front20 Sep 2021, 21:07 PM One thing I'd like to see in COH3 is that there is no spamable infantry with default high moving accuracy. COH should be designed around cover and unit positioning. Units like Panzerfusies take this concept and shit all over it because they lose little DPS when moving so cover and positioning don't matter as much - just blob around with minimal micro and chase down/brute force units. Thread: OKW faust and mg coming too late?15 Sep 2021, 16:41 PM I don't think OKW faust comes much later than Rifles AT nades or the time that Soviets usually tech their grenade package. Being able to build AT Gun from start is always an option versus ultra lights if you are struggling versus those (even if it's not always optimal). MG timing is more a result of typical build orders than anything I would say - it's not the cost of resources or tech timing that holds you back it's just that you are more likely to get 4 volks and medics/mech group before HMG. Nothing really stops you from getting a fast BG into HMG if you REALLY want one aside from it not being an optimal BO. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Increase MG scatter (focus fire)14 Sep 2021, 17:38 PM I think one interesting thing to look at would be the Kubel which I've noticed over the years tends to be very good at doing health damage but doesn't drop models. (I feel like I always need to go medics early versus Kubel). I assume this is due to the scatter of the gun? It would be a good place to start looking at scatter values and such. In: COH2 Gameplay

If you have other ideas, pls write them here down If it's deemed that the buffed barrage is too strong then a simple change would be to lessen the barrage accuracy a bit (either standard or the Veterancy buffs). Conversely you could revert the barrage buff but add another barrage that's higher damage but higher scatter that's more area denial in nature so the Scott could have higher utility of either a low damage accurate barrage or higher damage RNG barrage. The new barrage could be gated behind Vet 1/2 if needed depending on how strong you want to make it. In: COH2 Balance
