Like in the hypothetical game where you teched LT and went for something like Heavy Calvary that has no offmaps then Pak 43 will probably give you some problems. In that way I feel for OP. On the other hand there are many many times where it's super easy to wipe Pak 43 off the map - especially if it's in an aggressive position. All in all I think it's a fair balance that is standard Commander pick and counter pick fare. In: COH2 Balance

I wouldn't touch 2CP or else it'll be the new "Panic Puma" where it's always there so you never get punished by fast LVs. I do agree that the AI rounds were probably overnerfed. Might be cool if it was turned into Greyhound-like ability so you can't just cheese with mass M-42s. In: COH2 Balance

Just spam it when you have a favorable tank engagement and you know they will try to escape into the FOW and sometimes you'll get a finishing blow when otherwise you would lose sight. The two commanders it's in already are pretty stacked with good abilities so they don't really need a high end munitions dump on top of things like premium mediums, heavy tanks, and/or elite infantry. Even today I go a two volks into two ISGs build, because the early UKF can shoot you off the field easily. So rather than take huge losses, just temporarily concede the field and then hit them with ISGs + MG. I mean obviously this is just theory craft on my part and game mode dependent but I feel like Section Spam is kind of the default "if I'm going to abuse/cheese with Brits it's this" and making ALL side tech cheaper is a pretty surefire way to encourage this style of play. Id be up for buffing Engies further to replace more IS, but they would need more broad based changes. I use the term loosely to refer to Section-focused strategies where it's obvious that the goal is "Bolster early and outmuscle Infantry engagement". The actual number isn't as important IMO as to the BO where all early investments go to building more sections and upgrades and the ease as to which that can be done without being punished through good play. Thread: CoH2 Summer 2021 Balance Patch - BETA17 Aug 2021, 15:56 PM After briefly playing as Brits against AI I feel like the mass MP reductions should be closely watched/possibly scaled back. Some things like Bolster can probably stay the same cost as it already provides a good power spike and I don't think it would be good to make it too easy to pull off Section Spam strategies where it's too easy to fully upgrade them and support them with AEC/UC. Especially since they reinforce faster now and you will have more MP to support your Section death ball. It really risks Brits becoming too MP efficient and back to frustrating Section strats that are frustrating to play against (especially if OST has a nerfed Sniper that won't be as good to use against Brits). I do think it's fair to consider MP reductions for things like Bofors, Grenades, and Weapon Racks that are generally under utilized and a littler harder to squeeze into build orders. I love the Assault Officer changes. But with the Assault Officer's added utility he can also probably stay at 320MP or even closer to 300. Doesn't really make sense that a unit like that should cost the same as Main Lines IMO. Also, his Coordinated Barrage can be used in the FOW without sight - I imagine this is an oversight. In: Lobby

So compared to Pershing Tiger has 30 extra armor and reloads are 4.7 - 5.3 Vet 0 Tiger 3.29 - 3.71 Vet 3 Tiger 5.5 Vet 0 Pershing 3.85 Vet 3 Pershing IS2 obviously has better armor and slower reload but best AI profile. Obviously Vet 0 Tiger doesn't fire faster that Vet 3 Pershing unless I'm misunderstanding. Sorry, but I don't think 30 better armor when Tiger has to face better TDs and firing less that a second faster at equal Vet (not taking into account combined arms) is that big a deal. Plus the Tiger has the worst AI profile and faces larger squad sizes. It's all a wash in my book as far as their respective viabilities goes. The only thing I'd say is that Tigers are in more flexible doctrines whereas Heavy Calvary has no good offmaps which really hamstrings it in a lot of circumstances. In: COH2 Balance
