The Reserve Armour package would be fine. The 76mm sherman isn't a beast. It's a slightly above average medium tank.
With it the commander becomes really solid, without it it's just a slightly different and equally weak Calliope commander, that will probably only get used in 4v4. |
If Dozer Blades are replaced by either Reserve Armour or Easy8 it will be a really decent commander.
Which is what the USF really need. |
This commander still needs something for late game armour. Without it it's ultimately likely going to be a novelty commander, occasionally used in team games.
Allowing the Airborne Guards to specialise in either AI or AT would help. Like the Paratrooper Support Squad that the US commander has.
|
Now that the weapon drops work this commander is fun, but the lack of call-in armour means it's too weak to be worth using in 1vs1, it could be a lot of fun in team matches, but it doesn't have much for the late game.
The air call-in is great but would be so much better/useful as a loiter.
If the para-guards had an AT upgrade that would make up for the lack of decent late game AT. Perhaps extra powerful PTRS rifles and a version of mark target. |
Maybe give guard airborne a sabotage ability that can be used on enemy resource points, similar to the scorched earth tactics ability?
Something like that would make them a lot more interesting and useful. Perhaps they could have a bonus for capping speed, so that they can very quickly cap points and then sabotage the point.
Which would make them useful for going for cut offs or denying fuel. |
Halftrack suggestion for Brits from USF Ardennes Assault:
This is a great idea! +1 |
It's nice to see changes made improving other commanders. Elite Troops Doctrine will probably make a big comeback if the changes to the Tiger Ace make it to the final version.
USF - Urban Assault
RE rifle grenades are interesting, maybe they could be given demos as well, to help deny garrisons as well as clear them.
As others have said this commander would be so much better, and have so much more utility if it had the 76mm or easy8 sherman. With that change it would be a really solid commander.
British - Lend Lease Assault
The M3 half-track should definitely be replaced by the M5, so that the Brits have another option for early light armour.
The M10 feels out of place. The Brits already have plenty of decent armour, what they could use is more early game light armour options. So I'd much rather see them get a Stuart or M8 to help with their early game.
Soviet - Airbourne
Airborne Guards certainly need a lot more utility, perhaps in the form of grenades and/or weapon upgrades.
Perhaps they could get extra powerful PTRS rifles and a weaker version of mark target ability.
Switching the IL-2 rocket strafe to a loiter would improve this commander a lot. At the moment the lack of decent AT options means there wouldn't be much point in picking this commander.
Overall this commander feels very underpowered, I can't see it being picked much.
Wehrmacht - Strategic Reserves
This commander is incredibly powerful, the only thing stopping it from being OP is the lack of an air support call-in.
I can see this commander becoming the new favourite in all game types.
OKW - Grand Offensive
As mentioned by others, I think the shrek upgrade for panzerfusilliers should be limited to one shrek.
Especially as the commander also has tactical movement. Which when used with MP40 and shrek blobs could turn the commander into a blob specialist.
I'm sure they'll still be blobbed in team games, but at least it will limit that in 1v1 & 2v2.
Other than that the changes to them are great and makes them much more useful and interesting.

OKW
This commander sounds like it's going to be a nightmare for 3v3/4v4. Giving them a command tiger as well as HEAT sounds like overkill. A standard tiger would be more than good enough.
UKF
Roastin Ghost's Proposal sounds like the most interesting/useful. The UKF need some decent inf and having a 'new' type of light tank for the early game is great.
Although perhaps the best version would be A.Soldier's Proposal but with the M10 replaced with the Stuart Mk. VI.
USF
With only one Pershing commander in the game, I feel like it has to be crexas' Proposal if only so there are at least two pershing commanders (otherwise what a tragic waste of the only heavy tank the US have). I would recommend cavalry rifleman for ability 3.
That would basically be Heavy Cavalry Commander 1.5 but at least it would mean the US get two pershing commanders.
WEHR
This one sounds totally OP, to the point of being a joke. I'm amazed this one made it to the final selection.
SOVIETS
This one is very, very underwhelming. Were there no better suggestions?!

Is it possible to get the vote featured on the front page of coh2.org?
I'm sure that would help to get a lot more people voting, especially as otherwise they may never know about it.
I've just noticed that it's on the front page in-game, THANK YOU, Relic! That's a huge help and fantastic to see! |
I'll do a quick summary.
Thank you, I really appreciate it! |
