Since Obers are late game infantry, I can argue man power bleeds, VP denial, sprint and smoke ability are pretty good for late game utilities. You would think that an unit thats 66% more expensive then a gren would have at least 66% more stats then the grens. but they dont in fact they have even less utility to the grens. And stop bringing up the vet because the okw has reduced income because of it. In: COH2 Balance

And that's 90muni. And it's still estable dps, not focus fire. I disagree on that. pf's even without the g43 are the most cost efficient long/mid range infantry in the game easily beating the grens. sure their short range dps is not really spectacular but g43's fixes that weakness. Obers are the best infantry in the game and at max range obliterate even Paras. Please refer to Lemon post above. You clearly play only faction to understand how broken Obers were before the nerf. No mate i only get mad at people that try to bring up a subject that is not relevant to the argument. so i will try one more time and then i will write you of as lost cause because we repeated the difference between 2 subjects a few times all ready. Obers are a very powerful lmg squad and second most powerful lmg squad in the game with para's at the top until they reach vet 4. But they are not cost effective if for example shocks where increased to 550 mp they would still be the most powerful cc in the game but nobody would get them. If i compare a single obersoldat to gren , rifleman or fusilier they are just horribly cost ineffective. The obers need to cost 40 mp for reinforcement aand perhaps a slight popcap reduction. these are not major buffs. In: COH2 Balance

The problem with this argument is that this argument is that you have only a limited set of VP's. Reaching vet 5 in that time span is rather difficult. In: COH2 Balance

Grens might be more cost effective at vet0, at max vet(vet4 is enough actually) there is no contest between obers cost effectiveness or any other inf, obers at that time are gods of infantry fight, same can not be said of any other inf squad since they don't get sniper LMG, plasma shields and wraithbone armor and permanent fleet of foot, unlike obers. Stop using veterancy as an argument because the okw trades fuel and ammo income just for that. also vet 4 takes ages to get and basing obers around their vet is pointless. Also take not that VG have no AI at all and are just a shrek platform. In: COH2 Balance

It only proves how much of an overpowered unit they were if they needed so much to be brought in line. And they still are effective in what they do. Nope they are not compared to other lmg infantry. grens para's , rifles and even guards outperform them for cost. In: COH2 Balance
