Now that we have all the winter mechanics separated out, get to voting proper!
Edit: My vote is remove. I think infantry taking advantage of the short sight created by blizzards would be cool, and it's a generally frustrating extra layer of micromanagement that slows the game down severely. |

Couldn't wait for Nigo this is IMPORTANT
Edit: My vote is remove. It causes frustration because it often heightens situations where one person wins and the other loses, and generally slows the game down. |
you must be punished for making bad judgement/mistakes. However, it would be interesting if there was a mechanic which allowed us to get around poorly scaling units without having to give the enemy veterancy. It would be a nice soft-balance. |
Yes, this is good.
I have never seen OST use smoke ever, likely because I am a scrub.
But also because mortar smoke is just way too slow. |
Didn't Cruzzi lose that game? No offense Cruzzi
Aimstrong made alot more mistakes then Cruzzi in the early game. You're not telling the whole story here.
That's true.
And that's also probably true.
I didn't tell the whole story.
But IMO it hinged on that abandoned Sherman |
Please no more hard counter balancing
Schreks and Zooks should be able to do something to infantry. They should be a slight downgrade, but not to the point where they do nothing vs inf.
Make them more consistently hit infantry / near infantry, but reduce their damage against infantry. There, now the frustration from 1shot extravaganza is gone, and muni spent inf squads don't become utterly incapable of dealing with infantry.
tbh I don't care how it's done but I'm sure there's some way to fix everything to all of our satisfactions. |
Well, everyone can agree that pathing is bad.
Relic should feel bad about that.
They should work on base mechanics that reduce frustration and add more knobs to balance with. LIKE ACTUALLY GOOD PATHING AND PROBABLY SIDE ARMOR PLS |
Just watched OCF launch stram vod Aimstrong vs Cruzzi
Cruzzi absolutely bodied Aimstrong early game as USF vs OST
Captain counters 222/251 with zooks.
MG42 rifleman interplay is good deep great Kreygasm
Edit 5 or so: the blob is alive WutFace
I'm not convinced the balance is broken. |
Alex vs Queen
I literally cried.
Guys I have the real solution.
So MGs are total shit if they can't suppress single infantry, but too powerful if they don't, right?
No wait but I have the solution.
So add one more guy to the Axis MG squads AND THEN MAKE THEM COST LESS TO REINFORCE
AND THEN MAKE THEM WORSE AT SUPPRESSING SINGLE SQUADS
BUT THEN MAKE IT TAKE LONG ENOUGH TO PIN THAT RIFLES CAN GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO CHUCKANADE
AND ALSO MAKE SUPPRESSION EFFECT DECAY SLOWER
AND THEN MAKE THE NADE CHEAPER
BUT THEN ALSO INCREASE THE DAMAGE / ACCURACY OF THE MG SO THE NADE TOSSES ARE RISKY OR MAKE IT MORE SO DAMAGE / ACCURACY LONGER IS SUPPRESSED ENEMY
Well, I figure that can be boiled down to "make MGs do less suppression, but more damage, yet buffer them from the inevitable grenade threat."
Good positioning should always be rewarded, and bad positioning punished. The supposed issue with the MG42 is that it "completely shuts down rifles", well, I see it differently. Rather, I think that the MG counters too hard, and that nades also counter the MGs too hard, but I want to maintain this very tangible reward and punishment of positiong, HOWEVER, this will also provide the option for the USF / Sov player to bleed and spend muni to get HMGs to retreat.
This is still quite different from the patch before the MG buffs, since blobs would be forced onto the ground for longer while not being pinned, and the MG would likely survive, and the blobs would likely have sustained more damage.
I think it's far better this more soft-counter way. USF would have the (very manpower expensive) option of brute forcing their way through their bad decision to walk into an HMG. |
That'll never happen unless Light Vehicles are changed so that they can kill Medium Tanks, like 2 T-70's being able to kill a Panzer IV, or 3 swarming a Panther. As-is though, Light Vehicle have no use outside early-mid, they're too expensive, fragile, and weak compared to Medium Tanks.
SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE
AAAAAAAAAAAARMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR
RELIC PLS
FORTRESS EUROPE IS SIMULATING LITERALLY EVERY PLATE AND ANGLE OF ARMOR
STOP BEING LAZY EXCUSE MAKING FFS I NEED SIDE ARMOR IN MY LIFE |
