A little off-topic, but I'm surprised more RTS games didn't do the multiplayer meta-map sorta thing seeing as it's been around since Total Annihilation's galactic war thingie. They're generally fun.
Bless you, Cruzz, and everyone else who has contributed to this thread, you're doing God's work.
Here's my little bit.
Shock troops aren't the only ones with armor.
Precisely 1 model out of 5 of the OST Assault Grenadier's squad is labeled as a "leader" in the game files, and has 1.5 armor. Literally every other stat is shared between the models.
Many take it to mean sarcasm or trolling, but no honest troll is so honest about his trolling.
And sarcasm is a biting, harsh derision, or cutting remark.
The context it's used in does not mesh with the commonly accepted definition.
No; look at those pressed lips. One half in the shadow, it curls up.
His cheeks raised slightly as one would as squinting or trying to hold back a smile.
It's playful. A lightness shines through, a calm lack of seriousness.
It's a good idea, but relic really needs to look at how it effects gameplay. With the current way it's balanced it only acts as a micro tax to have units go to campfire to campfire. The implementation of the blizzards is what is wrong because it was made before any sort of meta in the game had even been established. I want freezing to actually force players to play differently like was originally intended.
They do force them to play different--they force them to camp next to fires.
pls update with preliminary placement of new balance or big old spoiler as to the outdatedness of the guide.
As for the preliminary placement, one can add little green pluses or red minuses next to commanders to indicate the general movement we can expect when the thing is updated. Probably off below with a clear indicator in order not to interfere with the current chart and confuse people even more
Edit: If not, it doesn't really matter. We can wait
I voted for the third option in the poll.
The part that can offer neat and aggressive gameplay should stay--the reduced vision. Infantry can take good advantage of this to sneak around etc!
The rest can go home. No arty / planes unequally reduces the capacity of certain commanders / factions over the others. Not that maps don't do that by their nature anyways
Edit: dang it, now I'm conflicted because of my last line.
