Starcraft 2 does not have bugs.
Balance issues sure, but not bugs.
Yeah, but SC2's design is radically different, and, if I may say, shit.
Macro is the end-all-be-all skill in that game and thus it hampers depth, macro boosters are tons of complexity for depth, the micro in that game has, again, tons of complexity and about medium depth. Deathballs still exist, harassment ends games which leads to way too powerful static defenses. Positioning is pretty much non-important. The learning curve is so broken and unintuitive, the skill ceiling is low in a lot of areas, the skill floor is high.
Blizzard would be better off copy pasting Starbow over the multiplayer of LotV. Leagues better.
Every studio ever should always take balance problems over design problems any time of the day forever ever.
Halo Wars 2 is the only upcoming RTS that might have any chance of good design.
Planetary Annihilation has good design, and finally fixed their singleplayer in a sense, but it's not my type of dealio at this point, also my computer is pretty meh.
Company of Heroes 2 is well designed in a number of ways, and Relic has been really good recently about revamping silly stuff like plane / flame / explosives rng and design. We've got balance issues, though.
