Are you classing them as good players because they are max prestige?
Yes, they were good players for an average 4vs4 game, but not excellent, because they didn't change their tactics, when it was clear that they were going to lose with it.
But the matchmaking should not pair an arranged team with 4 players with rank 300 against random players ranked below 100. |
I totally agree with you, but if you have good RT and win over AT. It is amazing experience.
And smaller player base. If Relic separate AT teams in 2v2 and above, thus destroy 3/4 player base.
But it is possible to beat an arranged team with 4 good players with a random team with 2 experienced players and 2 beginners. Watch a picture of it here! |
Then it is 2x 1v1, 3x 1v1 and 4x 1v1
In game ares limited communication options and it's just a risk if you want to play team game and dont have team.
Only in AT you can enjoy team strategy and depth, which you cannot experience in random team.
I play both. Random and AT, but random is just the training for real game.
And if you play random, you can learn a lot from enemy AT.
Yes, but often people have problems to find time for playing AT together, and then it is more often easier to play teamgames with random teammates, and hope that they are good players.
Often in teamgames with random players, it is 3 vs an arranged team of four good players. The matchmaking either gives one who drops early, or one who is a beginner who does not know how to play the game, and then the arranged team attacks the weakest link in the chain (often unintentionally), and the team with random players collapses and loses the game. Maybe the beginner player will stop playing 4vs4 with random players because of this, and we have a smaller player base. |
If some one dont want play versus team, why he play team game?
Because he likes to play 2vs2, 3v3s or 4vs4 (against random players). |
Correct me if I am wrong, but in CoH1, there was a seperate que for AT players.
Why does this not exist in CoH2? It seems wierd that a coordinated team with teamspeak/voice can be matched against a bunch of randoms from all over the world who often don't even speak the same language.
Main games I am losing in 2's nowadays is against teams and not randoms which I am queuing as. It seems ladder climbing at the 1-30 area is more about dodging these teams than actually trying to beat them with another random.
The problem is the unranked arranged teams. They should have somekind individual rankings (each players results counted) in matchmaking before they get 10 games and became ranked. |
Best USF MG in the game is still a stolen MG-42. |
When COH 2 got released in 2013, The Maxim did 16dmg just as much as the conscript mosin, Grenadier Kar 98´s did 20dmg, and the MG 42 had 8dmg, do we really want to go back to old days where maxims would kill 1 model from a grenadier squad even before suppressing them, and grenadiers needed only 4 hits to drop a model from the enemy squad...
Buffing MG damage seems like the right thing to do, but me and my friend maxim spammed our way to TOP 30 2vs2 as Soviets and had over a 80 winstreak back in 2013, buffing damage would result in the same problem that the DSHK had when it got added to the game, 20dmg for it was too much since it murdered the small squads of Ostheer, so buffing AOE suppression is kinda the only fix to the blobbing issue
I am not asking for a radical change, only a little improvement for the MGs. I dont know how much, but there are several alternatives between the Maxim (2013) and the MGs (december 2015). They should stop the blob and kill some models until the opponent knows that he needs to press the retreat button or use the smoke. |
I mean drop out internet wise. I live in Australia and I regularly disconnect from games against my will. I have no choice in this. Why should I get punished because my ISP's are lazy shites?
I don't know how to solve this, because the problem is not in the game, but in your internet connection. Maybe that players in Australia and New Zeeland get less time penalty (for example for 5 minutes instead of 10 minutes), than players in other parts of the world.
But the problem with droppers, who quits because they think that their teammates are noobs, are so big, that this should be solved in some way. |
How would the system differentiate leavers and people who drop out?
10 minute penalty would not affect them who must go to the toilet or have some other trouble in the real life. |
Company of Heroes III
Base Game:
1940 setting. France vs Germany.
Expansion Pack:
1940-41 setting. United Kingdom vs Italy
I also thought about this idea yesterday, that the CoH3 starts with the war in 1940 with the campaign in France. A game about the war in the Pacific is not so interesting for us in Europe.
But this could be done also in the CoH2 if the next faction is Africa Corps. Use 2 different modes in automatch, either the Operation Barbarossa (1941-45) units or the Pre-Operation Barbarossa (1941) units. |
