Think what you want, but there's a reason why CS has been a very long lasting and successful competitive game, and why COH2 has never been
Don't compare an RTS to an FPS. Not only is it an unfair comparison, but they are completely different genres. |
I actually thought this was real. Thank god I just realized that after the infiltration nades being all flames. |
Finally, someone replied!
Thanks for a few pointers. Its been awhile since I have had some critics.
As for the crossover preference, I can understand some of it.I just happened to be so used to doing crossovers for a very long time that I just stick with it. |
I hope they make another faction.
Some will oppose this, but I just really like how Relic give their armies "character" - voice acting, models, gameplay, each army feels unique, it's awesome!
I could imagine Italians. As part of an Afrika Korps-styled army.
Or, the addition of desert maps without a new faction, BUT with new uniforms for the existing factions (even though it could be extremly weird to see soviets in the sand)
I also always wanted to see a 2nd Soviet faction, sth that is what OKW is to Ostheer, just for the russians/soviets. It could be some sort of Guards Army; and it could - just like OKW did for "Germany fans" - serve the more frequent requests of "Soviet fans", e.g. by including real frontline troops (sth like "Strelky"), stock T34/85s (maybe with red banner to make them distinct) etc. It could also elaborate the "themes" of the soviet army even more; just like OKW expanded upon the whole elite, heavy theme Ostheer had initially. Such themes could include an ideological factor (flags'n stuff), women's participation in the Red Army (maybe as some stationary weapon crews; seizing this opportunity, Relic could finally fix some of the female weapon crew animations [the reason female partisans were removed]) etc. etc.
At the same time it would provide the normal, less-trashy-themed (conscripts) frontline soldier for the Red Army (as I said, "Strelky" or sth. like that); just like okw gave the germans their much desired field grey-uniformed frontline dudes, this faction would give the "russia fans" what they want.
^^Sry, got carried away abit But there is just so many more interesting things they could explore in this cinematic ww2 setting!
The idea of a new Soviet army could be interesting. We could have a faction that focuses on the independent divisions of WW2. |
I mean, what would that make conscripts?
Walking meatshields that can shoot back. BLAM!!! patriots of the Glorious Motherland!
Rapid conscription
I laughed hard on this one.

Here's a request for a fanart for Elbe Day (April 25th). The famous Elbe Day photo with the soldier's looks to reflect CoH2 units.

Probably a paratrooper, ranger, and rifleman for the USF side and a Shock Troop, Guards, Con, and Penal for the Soviet side.
It looks more like Rear Echelons meeting with Conscripts and Guards. |
I'm okay with a new Axis faction, but I am definitely not okay with a faction that will reintroduce PTSD symptoms we all had when the Western Front Armies came onto the scene.
The horror of seeing my beautiful 100% Sherman being extinguished by one shot of a Raketenwerfer. The memories of Obersoldaten wiping out my infantry as if they were the grandfathers of Arnold Schwarzenegger. |
You can change the brit mortar rounds using diferent bulletins, like phosphorus or flame rounds.
Maybe they will extend that for all units.
That will be an interesting implementation. |
As the title suggest, I wonder if anyone is willing to read a fanfic called Chronicles of Heroes. A Valkryia Chronicles/Company of Heroes 2 crossover. I'm just curious if there are people who want to read.

It's for anybody who just wants to have a look at some fan stuff. |
I would agree with your point. I doubt anybody could forget those double ISGs. |
