Well as the title says there are some pieces of artillery that are pretty bad at what they do and to add insult to injury they are overpriced as well . The ones that i mainly have in mind are the usf mortar ht which is by far the worse unit in the game , the usf 75mm howie for the reason that it costs a truckload and it really isnt better than a very chaep mortar (and although it does reliably hit and past vet2 its a killer , its range is very small and the splash is meh white phosphorus is wasted munis ) , the panzerwerfer well this one is both expensive and unreliable takes huge pop , its cooldown is big and on top of that it requires t4 which means it comes too late in the game to compete in usefulness against the panther or the tiger .Finally the worst one of all , the pos at the sight of which the whole red army laughs uncontrolably , the lef 10.5cm this thing is doctrinal comes at 8cps which means you wont be seeing it any time soon takes ages for the pios to build it , has all the dissadvantages of the panzerwerfer but on a larger scale with one more its immovable and therefore dies very easily to plenty of things including its counterpart which is better than it in all respects .
A few more things : with the exceptions of the walking stuka ( whichs is godly) and the b4 which does its job given the superheavy spam that dominates the game atm almost all heavy artillery pieces are too expensive , too unreliable and come too late to have any significant influence on the game , this along with the availability and potency of heavy tank call ins creates the current awful metagame . |

It's not just in comparison to the Rakaten, Johnny, it's in comparison to all the AT guns.
I completely agree that the Pak40 is overpreforming. The fact that it's the most cost efficient armor counter in the game AND that it can be built 5 mins into a match is reason enough to believe it's way too good for it's cost.
But the thing is, if it gets nerfed, dealing with the much more tangible Soviet armor will become a lot more problematic, as the Soviets have several tanks which at max range will shrug off Pak40 shots rather reliably.
So I think something needs to be done that keeps the Pak40's role against heavier soviet armor, but makes it no so easy to chew threw Shermans and Jacksons like a hot knife through butter, as quoted from the Pak40 bulletin.
well germans already have their doctrinal super heavy tanks , tankdestroyers and even the nondoctrinal so called medium panther which is decent against soviet heavies , now if your point is that soviets can actully stick to one tier and proceed to produce a heavy thats another thing |
i wish theyd raise the muntions cost for volley fire up to 25, maybe even 30 (depending on testing) in exchange for increasing the speed at which volley fire takes effect. I've NEVER used it succesfully except to win out against another pioneer squad in a 1v1 firefight. In normal mid game firefights.. the combat tends to be over by the time volley fire takes effect.

What a surprise, Ratchet wants to make his American unit more powerful despite already being good with weapon upgrades and being among the cheapest units in the game. When BARs get rebuffed I can see these being spammed again.

I think the problem lies on 2 pillars , the first being that heavey tanks are really effective at what they do and the second is that there are no real alternatives to use , by that i mean that heavy artillery is overpriced and underperforing with the notable exception of the b4 which sees a lot of use afaik . So i think what relic should do and that goes most for the soviets cause with them you just have the option of building just one tier to heavy tanks but ost does that as well , is make 34/85s is2s isus available only after t3 or t4 has been built , similarly for the tiger or the elephant tank make them recruitable only after t4 has been researched or t3 building has been built , along with that reduce heavy artillery price pop and make it a bit more useful ( perhaps with the exception of priest which is good although it has a high price for 1v1s and maybe even 2v2s ) |
effective use of commander and t1 units by ostheer to create an area denial strategy for close quarter maps and some rifle stalling till shermans arrive by americans . In retrospect i could have benefited massively from an ambulance since i could afford it but didnt do it |
The technical and balance aspects have been talked to death and there are numerous votes and topics on new units for dlcs . What i want to ask is for 2 skins for those who didnt preorder the WFA ,i paid 17e , i think 2 skins should be included in the price , also i would like the the american squad upgrades to be available like all other upgrades of other factions not this pick up from the base mechanism which makes the base needlessly bloated . |
