Thread: 100mm BS-3 AT Gun11 Mar 2015, 22:14 PM I believe this would make an excellent Soviet counterpart to the Pak43. Axis generally has heavier armor (especially so if the doctrine that comes with this doesn't get a heavy tank), and this gun could help a lot later in the game. For stats, I believe it could be identical to Pak43, maybe with less fire rate and more damage for flavor? The vet 1 ability would probably have to be... Tracking? IDK some fella was making nice threads about Vet 1 ability changes for Soviets, maybe he has an idea. Opinions? Thoughts? Oh, and alternatively, we could get the 122mm A-19 field gun. It could switch ammo like ISU-152 and get a lower fire rate than Pak43 but otherwise be the same. HE would probably need to not penetrate world objects though. In: COH2 Gameplay

Because putting Jagdpanzer IV to T3 and StuG to T1 as a cheap generalist medium OKW players always wanted while pushing back their Heavy Tank instead of their first medium would be too hard to figure. Thread: ostheer CAS overperforming.11 Mar 2015, 17:26 PM I recently had a Minsk Pocket game where I had a potato ally and a Vet 5 Sturmtiger that got there by killing 9 tanks and a few infantry. I was surprised to find out that it wasn't really much better at Vet 4 and Vet 5. The Vet 5 bonus in particular, I would rather trade for more reliable penetration and maybe more damage so I can one-hit kill IS-2s as well. Also, use Uhu with it! In: COH2 Balance

Well nothing of value is lost. Enough people stack on OKW, if they don't want to pay the slightest bit of micro to its most fun, unique and actually good unit, too bad. I'm not denying it may be a bit impractical for 1v1, but 2v2 and above it's a beast. It doesn't even take that much micro. In: COH2 Balance

OKW's core being Panthers is actually what you see most in game, KT's and JT's you will never normally see more than 1 of unless your in a 3v3 or 4v4. Sturmtigers are the least built in in the game. Obers are retarded tho I agree. I don't know about you but I get far more mileage out of my Sturmtiger than I do from my SU-76. In 2v2 and above, if you have other sources of AT handily available, Sturmtiger is incredible. It's also incredibly fun to use. If it were an Allied unit (not saying that would make sense, I just mean the concept and role of the unit), it would be used all the time. OKW is spoiled and it has access to best of everything, and with Stuka around the corner, you rarely truly feel that a Sturmtiger would be better. But it's good and in my opinion, worth having next to Stuka. In: COH2 Balance
