I'm sorry but when I have shock troops and whatnot available my enthusiasm for destroying my cons DPS outside of point blank range is rather low. An upgrade that gives them SvT's or an LMG would help give them a roll instead of just making them shittier shock troops with a worse weapon profile. I have two questions though. 1. At what point would that upgrade arrive? 2. Wouldn't it overlap with Penals? In: Lobby

Ironically however, I agree in that 57mm is the best AT gun in the game vs mediums with its massive range and self spotting; it's just that that happens when Axis captures it and uses it against USF. It has 10 more pen, which gives it a whopping 4% better chance to penetrate on all targets than the ZiS gun. It can kinda sentence a medium to death at a cost of 30 munitions. It is the best AT gun statswise; ZiS and M whatever peashooter gun only come close because of the durability as part of the squad size... That's asymmetrical balance and all, but Pak40 is the best and if you see one, capture it. That and Allied armor is generally thinner so 10 pen means more than it would for Allies. In: COH2 Balance

Paths then get lay down a few beacons and proceed to be around to suck up your pop and be less effective than Jaegers. If the Paths are mostly there to lay down beacons with a unique combat mechanic to aid their use a bit, fine, just reduce their cost to reflect that. Or give them x4 sniper rifles and see what happens. In: COH2 Gameplay

Also what you say applies also to caches, booby traps, satchels & mg bunkers. Now what is setting one more back: Losing a cache or the T4 building? So you can conclude, high risk - high reward. All I'll say is I wish Major, Tankovy Batallion Command or Battle Phase 3 could defend about 10% of a map. In: COH2 Gameplay
