It's made US and Soviet pretty boring most of the time. Now you start a "discussion" because you think one of the three semi-decent USF units is OP because someone used it well against you. In the meantime, Axis players get vehicles that (in most cases) start out better, and then are given complete fantasy abilities (Pak43's shooting though forests, buildings, IR halftracks that can see through forests, buildings, etc) because somehow just being better units isn't enough. So, the bad game-development justifies insulting and personally attacking other players? This is weird and shows some people just spent too much time on this game or just 1 faction In: COH2 Gameplay

COH requires 120% of your attention and are so manny things that won't let you play properly. Though we are fighting hard to be in line, this game becomes more and more not for us, "the old guys". Saw you mentioned nothing related to kids. Kids are counting all those things multiplied by three. I have a friend who quit COH for this reason. I wish I was 23-24 again Kids are a good reason to quit gaming... ...and have a comeback when they are old and skilled enough to carry me in teamgames In: Lobby

Why I am getting smashed badly sometimes, but rng, commanddelay, callins, my wife, the phone,the beer, the doorbell, my cats and some more beer certainly play a role too... I don´t get why anyone thinks playing this game for the ranks (even the top 100) means anything, considering the top 100 getting matched against casuals like me for instance. This fact alone makes those ladders totally pointless. In: Lobby
Thread: configuration_system.lua tweaking21 May 2015, 16:46 PM Modelquality iirc affects the detail-level of wireframe (onlyinfatry, tanks, vehicles, not world-objects...) Effectsdensity determines how many fireworks you will be able to see at the same time. Shaderquality affects how detailed everything looks (lower= more perf., higher=more eyecandy), going hegher then low or lowest will not significantly improve the visual appearance of the game, but going higher can be a fps-killer ( depending on your hardware of course) Ambienceocclussions, I think, affects ambience lighting maybe more noticeable on nightmaps. There are also settings for this in the worldbuilder so this could be mapdepending iirc. In: Modding and Tools

Cooldown modifiers are better at longer range than at close range +3 Accuracy: increases damage by 3% 5% cooldown: increases damage by 1.21% 3% Reload: ... by 0.27% 2% Reload + 2% Cooldown: ... by 0.66% Basically using all 3 bulletins gives you a 5% increase damage. There is another factor : The enemysquad loses 1 member a bit earlier, result of this is a dpsec. decrease of 15%-25% for this squad. In: COH2 Gameplay
