They are just standard infantry with more variable upgrades (expensive ones at that). Untrue, they have 0.75 received accuracy modifier to Grenadiers' 0.91. I was mistaken on their reinforcement cost, but it's not by much - Storms are 3.75 more per model, especially compared to PGs. In: COH2 Balance

The pathfinder is great for support and sniping low health squads, JLI are good fighting single low model squads. They should be, because they have the same cost yet one unit is enormously superior because of its combat potential, more abilities and better vet. Paths then get lay down a few beacons and proceed to be around to suck up your pop and be less effective than Jaegers. If the Paths are mostly there to lay down beacons with a unique combat mechanic to aid their use a bit, fine, just reduce their cost to reflect that. In: COH2 Gameplay

Which is good, but unfortunately still not really worth the 8 pop they take up that the USF is always hurting for. It's basically impossible to have all the vehicles you'll need with 2 Paras ('cause at least two makes sense considering you're getting a whole other unit for the sole purpose of reinforcing just them), Path and the obligatory tier officers. Were they less pop, I'd consider the combat discrepancies between Jaeger and Paths more or less fine. In: COH2 Gameplay

That's a comparison which ignores much. Wehr's HT can reinforce just behind the front and in enemy territory and may hope to actually survive enemy contact, Ambulance can only reinforce in controlled territory and putting it anywhere near the front is like asking to lose 250 MP and 10 fuel because the thing's made of glass and moves like a theoretical vehicular snail. Of course, a Major as a retreat point by an Ambulance is definitely superior to just a halftrack and it's super dumb, but there must be some advantage to a combo that costs like triple pop and is a combo that is certainly not available right away. Right now encirclement is widely regarded as one of the worst Ost docs due to the fact Stormtroopers are overpriced as all hell and incredibly fragile. The riflemen squad by itself is actually not bad, similar to the obersoldaten squads. The mg42 is a little UP, but the gravest problem which also has to do with american light vehicles is the fact that okw and usf has such a resource advantage in terms of manpower or the worth they get for their manpower. Yeah, I'd really say it's better to fix the early-game manpower/unit count between USF and Wehrmacht before we mess with the rest of it very much. The units Wehrmacht has for it aren't SU-76 awful (aside from the Sniper dying when something breathes on him). In: COH2 Balance
