There is already a first layer of randomness on tanks thanks to the probability based armor system. The second layer is death criticals. What's annoying is that a tank losing it's gun isn't actually bad for the tank, it's good for the tank, because it can only happen in the place of dying.
Seconded. That is just, really, super weird. |
It should be a numerous tank not a quality tank.
Believe it or not: German tanks in this game are a shadow of what they were on a vehicle basis. You have Tigers that can barely fight T-34/85s and Panthers outright losing head on assaults. KTs being finished off frontally is only the icing on the cake. Yet you scream for even better performance for Soviets. Better delete Germans out of the game then.
And yet, a player will be able to get one extra T-34-76 for every four Panzer IVs. Oooooooh.
Because the game doesn't also give the Soviets the benefit of eight to nine T-34-85s being available for every ten bought while the Germans get three to four Panthers for every ten Panthers bought, so it balances them out another way.
Well, not as much as T34/85. I only want it to scale better, because when it arrives, it does it's job which is to counter infantry, HMG, flank ATGs and with good micro counter medium armor, but later they become obsolete.
IIrc, T34/76 has 120 penetration and t34/85 has 160. I think 130-140 penetration on vet3 for T34 would make them more useful late game. This game, people are actually encouraged to go T3, spam T34s and with good unit preservation counter heavier axis units.
Uniform changes to help all of the versatile mediums against heavies might very well be the real way to go. They pretty much all have the issue of "Heavy is on field, now useless aside from getting lucky one-shotting squads some more...and the heavies might do that better anyway". |
In T3, the T-34-76 is the only AT vehicle you've got. And it's totally balls at that.
If we want the call-in prevalence to die, the T-34-76's performance is a pretty obvious factor contributing to it. I dunno what'd be the perfect way to fix it, but the huge design problem with it is nonetheless clear to me. |
The Pack Howitzer isn't great, it's just okay. The ISG is legit garbage because you need to be using it in direct fire to hit anything
So does the Pack, though I still generally find the ISG more underwhelming at even that range as well. |
too bad that the 120mm doesn't have any cooldown...
This is true, but suppressing also does reduce reload speed (multiplies it by 4), so I think suppressing actually should reduce the 120mm's fire-rate by a ton. |
As i said before, change PTRS prioritization at first. On the video shows clearly 8/9 PTRS shots hitting the weapon and not the crew.
Yeah, that logically should fix the root of the clearly-biggest problem. After all, Pak 40s technically would have an 80% chance to hit heavy weapons, yet they aren't killing heavy weapons every 3.75 shots. |
Except the MG34 crew didn't die, they just got their gun killed and had a aynerusm. The maxim is at least still left behind when the Obers kill it so you can recrew it.
Or so the Volks/SP can scavenge it |
PTRS so scary just gave poor crewmen a heart attack.
The headaches gave them a heart attack? |
Frontal blob assault on HMG should never be able to succeed, period.
Then Maxims are going to need pretty major buffs. |
Doesn't really matter either way
It's 960MP and 200MU pointing directly at one 240MP support weapon.
Gonna get blammed, bro.
Axis get to ober wipe MG's with firepower, Americans get to do the same for twice the price, soviets get to blow the gun apart. Welcome to 'vastly superior firepower is going to beat one MG, oh no'
I'd still think there's a bit of disparity there, because you can actually hope to retreat from other blobs and maaaaayyyyybbbbbbeeeeeeee have the crew survive by a hair. The Con PTRS spam I hear about definitely can't miss the heavy weapons with how accuracy works and have Oorah! to further doom it, while retreating makes the retreating weapon team faster than their other potential blob pursuers.
I'd definitely doubt it's an issue on Guards though. |
