Doesn't sound bad, cause what i learn from another thread, is that OH bunker gives different type of cover that UKF trenches.
Cruzz was talking about the trenches, so he probably didn't mean the bunkers.
British trenches are garrison cover, which panzerwerfer did full damage to
Ostheer and OKW trenches are heavy (green) cover
Should be fairly easy to test what they're using. If the units inside the given garrisoned bunker/trench/whatever can be suppressed, then they definitely aren't using garrison cover which makes them receive no suppression. |
How about making bunkers for 50MP but all upgrades would cost 100MP + 60ammo.
Definitely something to consider. Bunkers as actual cover for your infantry are by comparison to UKF Trenches, pretty terrible. With the same price, I'm pretty sure they'd still be inferior for the same purposes anyway while still having the different upgrade options, which sounds pretty fair to me. |
1.1 USSR Campaign (Update units profiles to actual from MP)
1.3 Theater of War (Update units profiles to actual from MP)
They totally ain't gonna do that. It's definitely quite intentional for them to be separate, for one. |
Yeah, the AI does that. It's funny when an AT gun with panzergrenadier throws a bundled grenade at you. Or a penal throws an AT nade at your vehicle (penal resupplied with conscript). Realistic, funny, and usually annoying.
No one likes going up against grenade spam, but dat shit's totally realistic |
I thought it looked surprisingly bad myself, but then I figured it doesn't need to have much DPS when it insta-kills at 75% anyway. |
Apart from the throw time, OKW's flame nade is exactly the same as the moltov
Incendiary Grenade has 5 more range as well. |
I don't think open, smoke, trench, bunker, emplacement or defcover_narrow are used anywhere.
(In case anyone was wondering, defcover is the default terrain signified by grey dots) |
k
Holy shit that scattering shell that goes fucking behind it |
Just my 2 cents on the matter.
Why try to push it into an elite unit?
Soviets were sort of based around multiple units but lacking a stronger veterancy/upgrade option.
Penals are considered dispensable infantry. If their stats are horrible, we can just compensate by their price. Penals and cons, with the prior acting more so a cheap close range unit while conscripts are more well-rounded with utility.
They're high pop, but if the player is willing to sacrifice manpower income for the early number of units, then there's some trade-off there. Plus, it gives the T1 sniper more screening options.
I'm no expert on the whole number balance, but I say why not have them at some incredibly cheap price to justify their whole "requires t1" and "still sucks" issue?
180 mp? 190 mp? 200mp? It's not like they share the superior survivability vets like the Ostruppen do. Yeah, it could work. Cost-efficiency is definitely more important than sheer power in one unit. Might require dropping the pop to 6 too though, Penals are definitely specialized enough while not being particularly strong to prevent spam issues. |
That would be nice, but weapons just go to another model. A brief moment of lower DPS with such complex mechanics. On the other hand units like jager-inf and pathfinders will become stronger
Pretty sure they already do autotarget models eligible for execution. |
