I think each shot has a very low chance to take down the plane. Ostwind seems to be the best. Maybe, I'm honestly not really sure about it's actual performance as I rarely build it and get the chance to use it against aircraft. Ostwind is quite potent indeed, but to me it seems that the bofors is the best one. Lost so many recons during their first approach getting shot from all over the map In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Anti air to powerful?11 Apr 2016, 20:44 PM AA is not overpowered, just inconsistent. IIRC each shot fired has a chance to take down a plane, making rapid shooting guns, like the M5 AA HT, more potent than their more expensive counterparts. In: COH2 Balance

Losing them is still bad. (I would not mind applying all of this to brit emplacements) And brace, as it is, is cancerous and diametral to the games design, most people here seem to agree to that. Thread: Cancer Emplacements Commander22 Mar 2016, 23:50 PM Emplacements alone are cancer and this commander makes it even worse. I've seen bofors built at the 4 minutes mark, supported by a 5 min mortar pit. ANd let's face it: There's no real counter until you get Stugs out. Mortars and Paks get killed by the suppressive barrage or the mortars. FlameHTs or Flamepios get instagibbed and any halfway decent player knows how to ounter smoke with attack ground. And even a Stug is no reliable counter as it's getting penetrated by the bofors more often than not. LeFh counter it, but they come at 8 CP and cost a lot more than the Bofors does and bind you to specific doctrines. And to add insult to injury: Even if you catch then during construction they don't give a damn. Grens and MGs don't deal enough damage to destroy the construction and Sappers and IS seem to take no extra damage. The least I'd like to see a cost and buildtime increase, as well as more damage to the contructing units. In: COH2 Balance
