It is quite literally impossible. There is zero scenarios that the Jackson won't be the best AT option. If all the urban maps didn't get constantly removed this wouldn't be true at all. Old 2v2 maps like Dusseldorf and Trois Ponts were great for E8 cause the Jackson was mostly useless on those maps This is the age old problem. The Jackson has to be that good because Relic decided to give USF by far the worst final tier. And the fewest stock AT vehicle options In: COH2 Balance

Yes they do, always have. Used to use the ability religiously on the old 2v2 map Trois Ponts. Was easy to hit tanks with them on that map cause there was limited room to maneuver Never had much success sticking them to tanks anywhere but there In: COH2 Gameplay

Yeah pretty much this. Idk if they intended for the 120mm mortar to stick too, but if they didn't then they just forgot to disable that when they copied the ability over from the USF version. It's been that way for as long it's been in the game At most it's an oversight but I don't see it being a problem. It's useful on the m21 but hardly oppressive In: COH2 Gameplay

Vet 1 Should make it free. Mortars are easier to kill/threaten then howitzers (unless you have the right off-map) The cost seems fair to me In: COH2 Balance

Ah yes, having done my homework, 30 muni on an independent CD of 120s. Not overpriced, esp in a commander that comes with recon and IL-2 bombing run so you will get to reliably keep vetted ML-20s. How often do you think you'll be able to use it if you're using recon and IL2? I was talking about MGs and not everyone blobs inf late game, you can always buy a Katy if the squad count is that obscene. Yeah exactly, building a howitzer already meant you didn't need the Katy to fight MGs. If you have a howy already you are probably getting a katy to fight blobs not team weapons, that's my point I also think it's more useful than OP does. I suppose the cost balances it out but it actually has practical uses unlike Airburst. Can we do this without whataboutism? The "long range" part works both ways. It takes the smoke longer to arrive, and unless the howy is already aimed directly at the spot, it will take a second to reface It's not bad by any means. But OP? If you do a thread search and just put in "Ninja", you'll see about 30 different threads about changes to units that weren't in the patch notes, none of which were started by me. In a lot of those cases, they weren't confirmed but there were also a lot that were confirmed by people like Cruzz. I'm sure you're not in the mood for a "trust me" either, but trust me, they used to be common. Also, I think you're reading more into this than I'm saying. I didn't say that Relic was doing this as some sort of secret master plot or anything like that. There was always a tendency to try multiple changes to units in the test patches. Most of the time those notes made it into the official patch notes but not always. Trying to find one specific change would require someone to find all of their patch preview change logs, then read all the way through them to see which changes actually happened. That would be a really time consuming task. I don't think any omissions were intentional as much as they just weren't that great about keeping track of their changes. Yeah I don't necessarily dispute any of this. But it came across as you citing that possibility just because you couldn't find what you were looking for No one can argue against that Relic has made their share of mistakes, and hidden some of them. The stuka bomb ninja change is one of the most ridiculous things that ever happened in the game. It's just not common enough that you can cite it with such concrete certainty either IMO Also I did not think you were accusing Relic of being nefarious. I think many agree that if something is left out it's most likely just a mistake. All that said, I don't think the Ez8 is one of those cases. I think the moving scatter is the biggest AI nerf it received In: COH2 Balance
