Bro. When I said "tech racks", what on earth made you think I was saying he was going to rush an LV?

I said the USF player would intuit (transitive verb; to know, sense, or understand by intuition) an LV rush, and then tech racks for the BAZOOKA, and that was the only time LVs were mentioned in my post.

You are one of the very few members here which I unironically respect and take his opinions seriously, so please I would advise you to stop trying to belittle me by trying to pull me off as a nutjob who does not know english.

Of course I know what "intuit" means. And my answer was a response to your post that I will lay down in clearer terms:

My "strategy" relies heavily on bringin an early 222 in the field as a heavy countermeasure to snareless Pathfinders while using MGs to merely "hold" the little ground you presumably have taken up to this point.

By 5 minute mark, at most the USF player will have little manpower, and 2 Cuckfinders + 1 rear echelon + 1 Ambu. Bringing a 222 will make a possible of two scenarios to happen: you get him completely offguard, decimate his frontline (again, due to snareless cuckfinders) and pretty much win the game. In this category fall the majority of USF players I come across that decide to employ this little strategy.

A more "decent" USF player will initiate a mass retreat, trying to bring everybody back in base. In the meantime, if you as a player are decent you may get his Ambulance down and make him sink fuel and mp to dust. Again, that's a victory. What he will try to do is tech zooks (correctly pointed out by you) and go for a LV. The thing is though, that in the crucial moments from 5min to 9min he will have completely zero retaliatory power against you since he cannot afford zooks, cannot tech for ATG (if he is going for LV as you said). The OST player on the other hand will completely lock down fuel plus choke point, thereby completely starving him of his ability to field even a decent LV in "normal" time. Hence game lost for USF.

My point being: Path Spam is a shock and awe tactic and nothing really more. It targets the weak-minded people that give up the moment their strategy turns to shit and cannot act according to the circumstances.

I have played almost every single RTS game starting with the original Command and Conquer. One of the things that Company of Heroes 1/2 does well compared to other RTS games is that you become emotionally invested in your Units due to the Veterancy system. In Starcraft if I lost a Protoss Zealot, Zergling or whatever unit it didn't really matter as it was just resources that I could easily replace.

I bring this up because the officers being "free" as part of your tech basically make these units the same as that Starcraft Zealot or Zergling. I don't really care if they die since they were free and they gain Vet much faster than Riflemen so losing them doesn't have that same emotional impact as it does when losing a Vet Rifle Squad does.


This is one of the things about USF that I dislike the most and would like to see changed. I agree with you that LT/Captain should be made into support units. They should be vital to USF and not just a Rifleman clone without a soul that you do not care about.


Losing "free" Officer Squads and having to pay for them would be a fair trade if it meant USF had easier access to HMG/AT Gun and making the LT/Captain have some useful abilities built in since you would be paying for them instead of getting them free.





Assuming No New Abilities (Even though it would be easy to make new abilities)

Infantry Company
The M191A6 LMG Replaced with Advanced Infantry Equipment
(which gives Riflemen Flares and Rear Echelon Flamethrowers) Thematically it would work



Tactical Support Company
The M191A6 LMG Replaced with Rifleman Field Defenses
Same as above from a Thematic point it would make sense if you could drop mines/make sandbags as part of the "Support" or "Tactical" theme going on with the commander.

Both of these would fit these commanders well without changing too much.

Grens are pretty disgusting tbh. Zero skill to use. A blob of LMG42s can melt MGs, no flanking required. Are they OP? Hard to say. Can anyone with a sub 50 IQ use them to great effect? Absolutely.

grens has some wind up time with its LMG upgrade, makes them less efficient in trading against offensive allies .

they are not that good, basically a more mobile MG42 unit.

Then again A.) Player can notice you didn't tech t1 (no grens) and intuit an LV rush, teching weapon racks and getting bazookas
or B.) At any time during these "4 minutes to rape cuckfinders" the USF player can tech racks and make your 222 nearly worthless.

believe you me, the people who unironically base their gameplay on cuckfinder spam are too trashy to even notice that you skipped t1 and rush LV.

also, USF will have no fuel nor muni to actually get those bazookas on the field. if he does, he will bleed to shit hence strategy useless. if he does not, cuck finders get raped.

LV rush requires the fuel to tech to lieut and also more fuel to get that vehicle in field. tell me how exactly will the usf player have 140 fuel (since you also said he will tech up) in 5-9 min mark to bring on the field?? lol you guys are funny even to players who actually give you a solution

Decent points, though in poorly written form.

• USF faction on its core is very decent, however suffers from two very serious problems: shitty teching and bad map selection.
  
• It's a retarded design to add a "get me lose the other one" teching mentality primarily because it makes the faction de facto limited and unflexible. UKF suffers the most from it, and OKW suffers the least (primarily because they got T0 ATG). USF is somewhat stuck in an idiotic limbo, and can only produce riflemen or cuckfinders to be competent.
  
• The reason riflemen seem to suck so much is not because of their design but rather from the overally bad map pool competitive games for all modes have. Riflemen are designed to hard-dominate medium-close rifle maneuvering, and most maps either decide the game from very far to very close. Sight blockers, trees, buildings etc give close range units like Sturmpios to dictate the course of every battle. Not to mention especially OKW Kubel can be a mini-sniper and bleed USF hard due to them not having early snaring (or embedded into teching, like OKW has for instance) and need to pay for it. Don't even get me started on OST sniper vs USF.
  
• And after all, it's ok to lose the early game, after all USF is a midgame dominating faction. The thing here is that they do not have all the tools available to cover their early game losses. AAHT is an insane risk for above normie players, simply because it's paper armor that needs some weird positioning to start firing. And good luck finding a non-doc way of having both MG and ATG in the same game without backteching. As such, stupid commanders like Airborne are a must to play.
  

TLDR: Riflemen are a sympton of a generally declining faction.
