The ROF is almost the same between the two because the Ostheer mortar HT has a longer cooldown but no reload while the USF mortar HT has a longer reload but shorter cooldown. The scatter on the USF HT is much, much lower (meaning it's more accurate) The damage and AoE profiles are the same, I think the difference is the scatter on the USF mortar HT's barrage is higher (by a tiny bit) than the Ost Mortar HT's barrage. Overall balance has much more to do with current meta units, not diversity. If a faction has half underpowered units, and half overpowered units then they will still have a high overall winrate, because players will simply use the stronger units more often. Diversifying gameplay has very far reaching consequences and I would much, much rather Relic spend their time getting their shit together and fixing the ever greater piling up issues than focus on reinventing USF every other week. USF is more powerful than it's ever been, it has the most versatile basic infantry in the game with effective health that blows almost all other units in the game out of the water. It's got 2 viable starting tech choices, and really only has 1 lackluster commander these days. At some point you need to pay attention to other factions, USF has gotten the fixes it needs to do well in every game mode, now lets try and see about pulling the Axis factions out of the toilet in 1's and 2's. Because it seems like in literally every thread you rush to defend Ostheer and OKW as perfectly fine and say nothing needs to be changed but both factions continue to slip into non-competitive status. ISG spam is currently giving OKW a huge crutch, and at someone point people are going to need to actually look at the facts instead of hunkering down and defending literally every broken thing with their personal "feelings" on how it is versus the reality of the situation. A Panther moves 2.6 faster, but about as much time accelerating to overcome the Churchill with that speed. This of course still isn't getting into the fact that using Panthers against Churchill's is really dumb because it will take you over a minute to actually kill the Churchill assuming no bounces at all. And of course the Churchill comes in the same tier as the most powerful and durable engineer (as well as cheapest) unit in the game. In: COH2 Balance

Oh wait... At least be gardening reasonable with your counter arguments. The amount of time that the Panther will take to accelerate and match the Churchills speed and overcome it is about ~2 seconds and some change. This is also not even touching at the fact why are you chasing a Churchill with a Panther you ponce he's got 2 6 Pounders waiting to slap your ass. Assuming you bounce no shots you will need 67.5 seconds to kill him with an OKW Panther. I hope this points out to you the issue is you shouldn't get a tank with one of the best acceleration values into the entire game, the best health in the entire game, the ability to throw gammon bombs at people with regular grenade timers and larger AoE, ect all for just 150 fuel. Sure, it can reach its top speed fast but it is still a slow tank. Saying Churchill is agile is a big over statement. FYI top speed means absolutely nothing in this game because you will almost never reach it on most tanks on most maps. Acceleration is everything because it allows you to make turns, correct pathing issue and whatnot a lot faster. The Churchill can accelerate to faster than an infantry unit can move in only 1 second, meaning chasing things down without is actually fairly easy. To catch up to a Churchill you need to spend several more seconds accelerating. There's no real reason to defend this outside of just inexperience. The Churchill also has a very high rotation speed, so there's that to. In: COH2 Balance

Devm already got beaten, it was unfair that Aimstrong wasn't given the same luxury. Even if it takes longer you should have the second set played if the person from winners loses the first set. Personally I would only allow white bordered commanders only for tournaments to show a stance against game play elements locked behind paywalls and for fairness because all people will have access to those commanders. That would be kinda unfair to OKW which depends on Scavenge (most used commander for OKW in 1v1 and this past tournament) and some of the white board commanders are really crap See: some of the Ostheer ones, UKF Artillery Regiment, Luftwaffe Ground Forces, ect. Comparing tech costs is also irrelevant, because brits WILL be cut off, its not a question of "if" but "when" and they'll have hard time in the early game. They are supposed to stand up to axis armies late game with their stock armor and that is exactly what they do. But they are fixing the early game? Like really they are pretty much fit for tat with Ostheer now and only really have issues with ISG spam with OKW. British lategame teching is also a lot cheaper than going for T4 as Ost and not nearly as risky. Your also underselling PIAT's, just slap some on some Engineers and give your enemy a good micro task. Churchill nades act like regular ones timer wise but do 120 damage over a perfect area of 4 with 0 drop off. Their bugged or Relic needs to uh, work on some stuff. In: COH2 Balance
