Also the Panzerfusiliers which get at snares right out of the gate and also out scale the Penals by quite a lot. They also have a early 221 which has a supringly good match vs the scout car. There's no way OKW has worse weapon teams. The raktten is super safe and easy to vet now. The MG34 is the 2nd worse MG in the game only 2nd TO THE MAXIM. The maxim you wont really get if you get penals because of backteching. I'm gonna assume the benefit of the doubt that you're talking about the 120mm or the Dshka with weapons team though. I'm gonna have to admit those are better yes. I think he meant that OKW has worse team weapons than OST. He'd have to be pretty delusional to think that the Maxim is better than the MG34. I tried a 120 in a match today that was infantry heavy on Elst. It got no kills in around 30 minutes of playing. It costs about 40% more than a standard mortar, while having a much slower fire rate and the same damage, just over a little bit larger area. It's the worst mortar in the game. In: COH2 Balance

I know that a lot players love the campy 2-3 lane maps where it's very hard to flank effectively and where units like MGs, snipers and elefant are super easy to use. I personally prefer the bigger maps like vaux or moscow where flanking is actually part of the game. Doesn't it depend a little on what faction you're playing? Crossing and Alliance seem better for Axis given the arc of their MG's. Vaux or Moscow require more mobility and a different play style. Vaux or Elst are probably my favorite maps in 2's. I don't like Moscow if I spawn on North, especially on the East side. To OP: There aren't a lot of map makers and it probably takes a long time to make a competitive, balanced map. The map makers are probably a smaller group than the modders and (I think) are volunteers also. In: COH2 Gameplay

If anyone remember the CoH2 beta where every penetrating hit inflicted a mini-crit on the vehicle, that's what Green T-34's were. If the T-34 was hit by another tank, it would disable some part of it. Red Banner T-34-85 would be awesome though, the Soviet faction has no elite armored vehicles. What were Red Banner T34/85's? At this point, all you lose is caches if there are no OST. Except for support weapons, everything OKW seems better. I'd rather have PF's than PG's, and neither of those seem as good as Falls. Having a 60 range stock TD is great, especially with IS2's coming earlier. The skill planes from Overwatch and LGF seem better than CAS, especially if you have one of each and drop them on the same area at the same time. In: COH2 Balance

Guards would be my preference - I'd always have one around the KV-2 to help with its survivability like I do with the ISU. It might make it an option compared to Mechanized Support or Shock Rifle. Three tanks would be overkill and almost as unhelpful as two repairs. In: COH2 Balance

As Osinyagov pointed out, there are two slots taken by repairs and two AI tanks so the doctrine is anything but fine. I'd rather see the Crew Repair replaced by Guards or Shocks. The KV2 is slow and easy to dive with Panthers or even mediums unless you have a ton of AT around it. In: COH2 Balance

For OP's next level of brilliance, he should test the USF ambulance against the new OKW ambulance. He could make a big circle and have a demolition derby in it. I'm betting the OKW one would win because it looks to be sturdier and faster. USF has the OP crew ability so it might be close. Maybe the ambulance should have bazookas?... In: COH2 Balance

Oh right, allies are shit AF Search rates are highly dependent on time of day and don't prove anything. If I play in the middle of the day while most of North America is at work, the search rate is usually mostly Axis. When the central and western US is playing then the search rate is usually more Allied than Axis. Also, Kaitoff is right about how the numbers work. That said, I don't know how balance is in 1v1's, but the patch has been terrible for USF and UKF in large team games. The Riflemen buff probably helped USF a lot in 1v1's where there are a bunch of small engagements but isn't noticeable in 4v4's. For those, all USF got out of the patch was nerfs to the pack howie, Scott, and Jackson. The nerfs to IS have made UKF much worse in 3's or 4's. Try capping anything without leaving cover. Soviets and Ost feel okay. OKW is great. In: COH2 Balance

I didn't notice it but he'd know better than any of the rest of us. They should at least adjust the cost up to 280mp and lower the fuel down to 25. If you want access to grenades, weapon racks and both an AT gun and mg then USF is always about 20-30 fuel behind Ost or OKW to get armor out. Some people might be able to use the power spike to even it out but in some ways that's just as bad. In: COH2 Balance

Then his healed squads rolled you back to your base. In any event, I got to experience it first hand. My next random was against Sully and a different partner.
