is that sarcasm? I load up 4v4 when i feel like playing buy dont have the energy to micro well. You only have to keep your camera forcused on one little portion of the map, not a lot of capping/harrassment, enemy only comes from 1 or 2 directions etc etc |
ive not yet seen the decals in game, i keep forgetting to look for them- wherever they are they are very small. (not that thats a bad thing- i think decals are kind of silly) |
theyre all the best factions. if you look at the leaderboard each faction has someone ranked number 1 |
The only things I agree with is:
lieutenant
M2HB .50 cal mg
M1 57mm At gun
M20 scout car.
Captain
Stuart tank
M15 flack Track
75mm pack howitzer
I really would like to see the AT gun built sooner even if this would mean an increase of lieutenant cost.
except this would make the captain an incredibly risky decision (and it already is pretty risky) Everything the captain tier would give you is the mid game vehicles that typically dont live that long.

So mines are the new demos? 30 munitions for a squad wipe on your Vet 3 Lmg Grens? What im saying is that imagine you were actually player chess, but it was fun and WW2 themed.
Atm COH2 is like a game of chess where your pieces are just removed from the board even though they didnt deserve to be, and at times they are removed just from pure luck. Chess wouldnt be anywhere near how popular it is today if the things ive mentioned occured, the same thing can and will happen to COH2 if we tone down RNG
I guess you could say Im against mines and demos because they in some respects ruin the game that I actually like to play. Maybe you like RNG being the same because you play mostly allies? How else can you kill squads without demos?
maybe if it helps- instead of blaming RNG for when you lose a squad that walks over a mine, thank RNG for saving your squad that was supposed to be killed because it walked right on top of a mine! |
these events arent pure random you have control over the accuracy of your light artillary and the bunchedupness of your squads.
you also have control over if your shots will penetrate or not, its all positioning.
this isnt starcraft where two armies just meet then the winning army is the one that has the best damage/health ratio. Positioning is just as important of a factor as your unit composition. its a part of the game. |
The game has always kind of suffered from these stutters where it locks up, then does a fast forward catch up- mainly in the first 30 seconds of the game. It's an annoying issue, but being contained to only the first several seconds it doesnt kill the game.
Ever since the patch though. I've been getting them randomly throughout the game, lasting about 2-5 seconds. Its starting to ruin matches for me. I just lost 3 engineer squads throughout my last game because the game froze up when i needed to retreat them. |
move around in twos, but spread out enough that both squads wont get pinned by the same kubelwagen.. When the kublewagen targets one squad let it get suppressed and flank with the other, forcing it to move.
As long as you have something nearby to get side shots on the kublewagen itll force it to move and turn it into a useless asset. You dont even need to destroy it, it'll eventually get out teched and destroyed all on its own.
if youre usf:
other good tactics are to buy the grenade package and use smoke grenades (giving you time to get into heavy cover or a house), going elite infantry doctrine and buying vet 1 riflemen which have at grenades. I've also thrown regular grenades at kublewagens if i start getting suppressed but im close enough to throw a grenade at it. It wont destroy it, but itll force it to fall back for repairs.
if youre soviet
another good tactics is to get a scout car (preferrebly with some infantry riding in it, but not required) |
get behind it, when it moves, move your tank in the opposite direction, you can move faster than it can rotate.
Try to not be moving when your tanks shoots for extra accuracy. |
ive always theoried using guards rifles with button would do the trick. ive never really had the chance to try it because i usually end up picking a doctrine before the aa halftrack reveals itself.
my main strategy is to just avoid it. let it sit out somewhere defending some strategic point against zero resistence, make em feel like they need to reposition it to get it into battle so they get their money's worth out of it.. once they start going that route with the aa halftrack you'll usually end up catching it out of position and get a luckily timed at grenade off on it or something.
