Aye I tried that, I dont think its possible without actually using the weapon.
Have you tried giving the entity the infrared StG as its default weapon and then giving it its "normal" weapon as a slot item? |
Really anything that looks like a radio-pack. I was planning to use it for the unused rear echelon radioman entity.
Ohhhh, alright! Using the Pathfinder model is not an option? Otherwise, there might be some way to get the battery pack for the infrared StG 44 to show up. I'll have a look! |
Great idea!
1. Any suggestions on how to apply a faux-radio pack to a unit?
What exactly do you mean by "faux-radio pack" though? |
An important note: garrison cover is worse than green cover in the sense of incoming dps reduction, which is how garrisons can be cleared with siege, without granades, but it is much better in the sense that it has no minimal range, so you can just close into a building to remove it, like you can with other types of cover.
True! |
Garrisons give garrison cover, which is better than light but slightly worse than heavy cover. That includes transports which infantry can fire out of, but not closed ones like the Sd.Kfz. 251 and Opel Blitz - these protect infantry from direct damage. There are, however, different settings as for how AoE damage can apply to garrisoned troops. |
In the source I have linked, the Thompson is not explicitly listed. It says "Submachine, Cal. .45, All Types" with 880195 sent in total. Of these, 651086 were sent to the British Empire (so that might include Canada, Australia, NZ and others) and 137729 to the USSR. However, the only other SMG the US produced in large numbers was the M3 (Grease Gun), but as far as I know, it wasn't used by the British or the Soviets - leaving only the Thompson. |
Attack Ground uses the default weapon that is also used for Auto-Attack. As a general rule of thumb, abilities mostly use different weapons with their own stats.
Target Size (also known as Received Accuracy) only affects weapons with accuracy checks - mostly those using direct fire. If this check fails, scatter kicks in, and that has nothing to do with target size. |
What would be nice is for us to have summer models of the Osttruppen but with helmets, since I actually prefer their uniforms the most because of the extra stuff on the back.
Without the POA badge, though |
I do think the current Grenadier model looks good, but it probably isn't historically accurate for the average infantryman to have a full suit of Splittertarn. So I'd be fine with the change you proposed. However, I don't think we're going to see any model changes for infantry, simply because everyone has gotten used to the current models so much. |
