The one in the back is GBPirate shooting at me whilst I'm trying to defend vV from below. The burning wreckage in the back is farce's yak15. |
So if i'm in charge of flight school someone else will need to take care of the ground attack sections. I have the unfortunate habit of attacking the ground with my plane after i release my ordinance. When it comes to flying fighter planes though, i'm your man. Spit LF Mk IX for life! |
Which is better? Ignoring the cost of researching weapon racks and the cost of the resupply halftrack. Purely weapon vs weapon. I can't tell the difference from using them and I'm not sure where to dig out the stats.
I rarely use the vickers except heavy sappers but then I usually give them two brens too. I usually just get the halftrack to reinforce in the field and drop lmgs for conscripts. I can't help but wonder if the vickers k is better, worse, or the same as the bren. |
You really hate the brits don't you emperor? They do need tweaked for sure and I'd be likely to agree that the things you illustrate are problems. It is amusing that it seems to be only you on the balance the brits properly train. Cross over to the dark side with us. Abuse centaurs and no vision no flare arty with your pack. It's fun.
On the other side I am a bit glad to stick it to the axis fab club lately. God knows getting my jacksons smashed by elefant got old. Time to repay that kindness with tulip rockets. |
I have mixed feelings on this one. Air supremacy is NUTS. Then again, for that much munitions and with that delay.... it should be. Thus the question... what is it designed for? Anyone can easily move every single unit out of its range, likely even most tanks with an engine crit. If it isn't designed to obliterate static units/buildings then it needs changes.
On the other hand it's complete pudding to have your t3 one click killed regardless of cost. T1 or t2 are cheap enough to easily replace but t3 is a bitch. If you still had access to the units I'd have no problem with it. Locking out a given tier with one click with no ability to prevent it is too much.
Another thing is that old debate of is schwere a unit or a tech bldg? Well it sure kills enemy units but at the same time it is a tech structure. Methinks this really requires a deal of consideration as well. |
i dont have to play a ton of brits to know that if the opponent has a mortar 250 in their loadout brits cant build emplacements unless they see a doctrine "tell". also, leigs totally wreck emplacements. My current wehr loadout is luft supply, spearhead, and jaeger Elefant. I go mg gren double sniper into double 222s and wipe brits off the map. Granted im no great player, but the fact I can do this regularly with virtually no counterplay is stupid. Brits are insanely easy to destroy before they get to armor.
when i do play brits, it is only in large team games, and their synergy can be amazing. If the enemy team has a brain they can neuter the brits with their loadout though. If they choose to build a mortar pit, burn it. Bofors? burn it. Alternatively, okw can just leig them making the mp starved faction waste a tank's worth of mp. I've had absolutely no problem dealing with brits when im playing axis, quite typically i've been wrecking them. That is a problem because im usually not THAT much better than my opposition.
i think the coolest thing brits can do is poop out lmgs for their conscript friends, in a doctrine with a croc.
i do feel the whole point of sandbagging the dang emplacements was for some measure of protection from light arty...... right? It's too easy to counter a static emplacement to see this much moaning about them. I'm more concerned with centaur as axis than emplacements |
another thread devolved into fanboys slinging poo at each other. hooray. Monkeys are supposed to stay in the zoo, who let you guys out?
as my mate said. bias, regardless of form, is what is annoying. I hate allied fanboys as much as axis.
it does seem that brits being based around their emplacements for mid game are in a spot of bother. The emplacements are EASILY destroyed by any axis player with a few games against them under his belt. Stock wehr mortar, leig, mortar halftrack, luftwaffe supply offmap being my personal fav. So now that emplacements are a thing of the past how do Brits survive to get their, admittedly badass, tanks out? |
Did I miss the part where they buffed the m20 scout car against snipers? The dodge buff is nice but why not the nondoc unit like all the others? USF has it a bit easier than Brits but come on. That doctrine to counter snipers isn't practical. |
now forgive the ignorance, but im not sure if the barrage is a muni cost or free. if free, why not add a cost similar to the zis.
perhaps if that is not the right fix then make the barrage cooldown a bit longer.
i do think the barrage should not be free and im pretty sure it is. make it cost them, even though the sovs never are short of muni, and it will be better. |
frankly im surprised we did so well. I'll take it. I HATED the double snipers though. |
