We at Stormcloud are in a transitional phase concerning our site/ts server. We will have it sorted by next week. Nothing is down, just contract expires. But lummel is correct. |
I will be so disappointed if rangers have 2 bazookas like vcoh if bazookas are still in current state. Also, I hope rangers have the IRL helmet insignia as well |
on rare occasion i use it with an okw mate and have him put his mech truck in the base so that when he's repairing his tanks i can hit them with vet. that said, it's 25 fuel every time. it costs an extra 75 fuel to get a panther to vet 2. i like to use it on my tanks so i can have blitz from the time they roll out of my base. tagging an extra 25-whatever fuel on a unit makes it absolutely TERRIBLE when you lose said unit. it does make those tanks that get extra armor at vet 2 a lot tougher, but at a pretty high cost. if you build tons of fuel caches it can be useful, but in most circumstance, not so much. |
Ugly game. many lessons available. |
one player can field a king tiger and a jagdtiger. that said it's nearly impossible as you have to have VERY little of anything else due to population concerns not to mention the huge amount of resources necessary for both. |
How does this stuff work? Look at my current rank. No way that's true. Granted I've played US only so I can get good with them, but cracking the top 1000... I've only had the game a month. How could I possibly be that high? It is 3v3 and 4v4 but still. Maybe nobody plays us or those bigger games? |
Try to play multiplayer. If you can play as us or okw you bought the western front armies. |
I love the thing when it work well, but when it doesn't, it's a lot of resources down the drain. To me it feels like the Jackson, in that, you must babysit that specific unit as you have so much invested in it. In being overly conservative with it, I don't feel I'm really getting my money's worth. It seems there is always that one unit with shreks it didn't suppress and wham, smoke, fire, death, anger. In my experience, I use it on wide open maps and that's it. urban = death. Of course, later in the game it takes more of a secondary role, but what should it be doing when you get it in. I stick it in the thick of it in a anti-inf role and rarely a anti-light vehicle role. The moment I leave it still for a second, with rifleman spotters mind you, here comes the shrek blob of death, and you can't get that thing out of there fast enough. Should I be using an MG with it for more suppression? seems kind of silly, but that is the only thing I haven't tried. I'm not saying the thing is glass.... but it does go down in a hurry. |
I use the infantry and airborne commanders a lot. With infantry you get the mortar halftack early to soften the mgs, and you get 1919s without any fuel cost, not to mention the priest. Airborne is solid. You can airdrop an mg or an at gun thus allowing you to skip lt or capt and still get units from that tier, and at the front line at that. I use that extensively, skipping Lt and still getting my ma deuce. Paratroopers with an m1919 are friggin awesome too. With proper placement of beacons they can be reinforced anywhere, their only negative is lack of AT. However rifle company is awesome. Vet rifleman from the word go, plus replacing the odd wiped squad with a vet 1 and occasionally a vet2. Having access to the rifle nade early is nice for those pesky kubel. And the best tank the US forces have is accessible without teching, which i almost never do since I always want a jackson and usually a m8. Paying a few bucks for it is kinda lame, but if you cant pony up a few bucks, then why are you wasting electricity on a game? get a third job, slacker. Nah, I hear you. nickle and diming is the way of it though, they are in the business to make money, they need to get it where they can without pissing off too many people. You can get the premiums if you pray to the RNG gods however. I've never used the recon, but mechanized isnt that great other than the first five minutes. Jeeps rape until they get a shrek. then you can turn them in for some fuel... wow. It is cool that you can fly a recon plane and have offmap arty on the same commander. I use this to troll mostly. hehe. So, the pay to win theory I think just doesnt hold. My standard load out has two vanilla commanders. Plus, just keep playing, you'll get a premium commander eventually. |
I really like that idea. Randoms can be great or they can be terrible, hence random. At least with a forum you could find someone who speaks the same language and plays around the same times. |
