Good for whom exactly?
If you're an Allied fanboy or an Allied player, I'm sure they look great indeed. If you're an Axis player, this are detrimental.
Also I'm not fucking LolCake >_<
Seriously, is it possible that someone just disagrees with the entire Pro-Ally movement that PQ is taking this game towards?
Axis just have been getting reamed by the Nerf Bat every time an Allied player cries.
I won't disagree that this forum is full of pro-soviet and pro-usf players that are shooting instantly at anybody disagrees with them, but nevertheless you should try play all factions. Things are not quite you described, these are great changes at a first look. Play some games both in allied and axis shoes in Beta, then come back and share your opinions.
It looks like they really took some small and cautious steps related to balance, not like before. imagine what it would give a worst ROF for PAK 40 + a T34 BUFF. Huh? because that's how they used to make things in the past. So take a deep breath, calm down, go and play the beta-game. I'm sure your frustration will tone-down a bit |
In real life there were about 1350 Tigers produced compared to ~50k Shermans
So you can have your 10:1 kill ratio if I can have 37 Shermans for every Tiger
In game terms, 2 Shermans cost about the same as 1 Tiger (more if you include tech costs) and will generally lose to that Tiger.
Hahaha, I posted this on purpose knowing that you guys will jump to defend the little shermann. Some people are so annoyed by the fact that (let alone resources) german engineering was superior. |
Interesting changes overall. This is not the way I thought USF needed buffs (I would rather decrease some amo and fuel costs) but nevertheless they needed some buffs. That 0 CP Dodge sounds odd though. Remember USF plays also against Ostheer not only against OKW.
Anyway, no comment has value before testing. Hope I have time to do it |
Lot of gameplay changes. Good, but what about whole rest? Callins, ost t4, su76, sov snipers etc?
Assumption that 3 Shermans are equal to Tiger is wrong.. Maybe in perfect world without support like schrecks but right now Tiger often can run away while 2 Shermans are destroyed. No bleed for Axis, huge bleed for usf
Well, since in real life the proportion of destroyed shermans vs destroyed Tigers was 10 to 1, 3 Shermanns for 1 Tiger is not such a big deal... is it ? |
Air losses declined considerably over the latter course of the war. The greatest threat to both low and high altitude aircraft was enemy aircraft, which was almost non-existent by late '44 and disappeared by '45. (There was a running joke in the Wehrmacht that went something like: "If it's camouflage it's RAF, If it's silver it's USAAF, and if it's invisible it's ours.")
Flak towers were built in cities and I don't think you can consider them very mobile. Their utility at defending ground troops from ground attack is practically non-existent.
The biggest risk to a pilot from ground attack actually had more to do with how many planes attacked one target. "Tail end Charlie", the last guy of eight or sixteen, would catch the most flak. But even they often survived.
That's why all these ostheer air raids capabilities against USF are rather unrealistic. But then, let's not forget about Mescherscmidt 262 the best fighter plane in the war. Anybody wants to deny that?

Yep and penetration will be based on the angles of the incoming shell
Wow now wouldn't be THIS something?! Even if it's a joke I would realy like see some things like these implemented. Penetration is allready range dependant. Side armor + angles addition would be totally awsome |
When p47 is activated. u can see a red circle around the target area. reverse tanks out of circle. THATS HOW EZ IT IS TO AVOID THE P47.
Didn't know that, I will search for "the circle" next time. Anyway, I imagine it is pretty large, sometimes you got the sensation that there is "nowhere to hide". |
Some of you said that you can just back-up or run with your tanks and be safe. That is not true. The plane has a huge sight range, it can detect targets by its own and attack them, so if it detects your tank in its flight path will shoot at it. Also even if it fires to vehicles it can still rape your infantry if it's next to the attacked vehicle. Having in view all these, P-47 air strike it's still fine, being a normal counter to heavy german armor. Accurate from both balance and history view. Germans had best havies. NOT OP. Just BEST heavies and this is accurately reflected in the game. USF had the most effective air force and this is accurately reflected in this ability which should be found in at list 2 USF doctrines, not just one. |
Somewhat disagree. It's the only effective counter against late german heavy armor. I think it's fine actualy. The only problem with this ability is that it makes USF players to exclusively chose this doctrine in larger games and this is not ok for diversity's sake.
P.S. I laugh remembering the time when people called me german fanboy and crying because they couldn't find a solution to german armor. Then me, a "german fanboy" who "exclusively" played germans, I came and say "why the fuck don't you use the P47 air strike?". Today, people playing USF are using it intensively. Searching for solutions is allways better than whining. |
Almost all bulletins stack. I have 3 Puma increase penetration bulletins (4%). I use just 2 (cause there are other important bulletins also), to give my Puma a bonus of 8% penetration and I can tell you can feel it. But it could have a 12% penetration bonus . |
