Will check them when I get home and leave some feedback.
Also since you are "educating" people I think a link to your stats would be a good indicator on how educated about the game you are
Fair enough, I'll go do that now, I'm also uploading a few of my games just so you can get an indication of where I'm at. I would state that I'm a decent player but not a top tier player by any stretch, just good enough to help the newer members of the community how to play. I wouldn't say that I have anything to offer the more hardcore members of the community.
Hello all you fellow followers of the RnG gods. Recently I've bitten the bullet and decided to start recording myself talking to my computer screen while watching replays in a possibly successful attempt to make myself not sound crazy!
My videos aren't necessarily of high quality games, in allot cases I look for threads asking for help and I make a video trying to educate people on how to bring their A-game... or at least I hope I do, I may just be encouraging them to hate me...
Either way if you want to see a crazy possibly sleep deprived Australian attempt to help out struggling members of the CoH2.org community try watching some of these videos. If you think there's something I missed in em don't hesitate to comment or go back to the help thread.
Remember, everyone starts of somewhere so lets help encourage more higher league players!
Video's for your enjoyment and/or displeasure:
Commentary about the video is welcome. Always open to suggestions about how to improve. Think of it as helping the helper!
(Note: If any of these videos are monetised it's due to a third party claiming them. I make these videos to help out struggling community members who aren't the best. I try to keep them add free but the soundtrack is apparently claimed by people I have never heard about. If I decide to monetise videos in the future I would definitely make an announcement.)
I had good micro (for me at least) this game and was able to often cut off my oponnent while rarely losing my secondary cut off and never losing my primary. At one point i was floating MP at T3 and lost my T70 but had a large advantage in infantry with Guards doing very well keepign pumas at bay and raking ostruppen with DPs. With Guard motor I have no heavy KV8 to annihilate inf or IS-2/ISU-152 to shock my enemy and rush him so what shoudl I do here? I am working on my soviet game and I want to know what to do when I get a fuel lead and I am holding up well with infantry....When I play Ostheer and have good early and mid game I know what I like to do...build extra fuel caches and then tech T4 and get panther so I can overwhelm whatever armor may come unless he amasses 2 or more tanks without me getting to fight his 1st.
Looking at this replay, what could i have done differently because I feel like my play let this game go on too long. Previous game I got a good lead and built a KV8 and rushed the ostheer base annihlating a mortar in 2 sec! and a weakened PG in a another couple seconds and it was GG. I am asking for what to do when I don't have a call-in shock armor unit to deliver the coup de grace! Thanks
Okay,
After watching it through I have a few suggestions
1. Your micro gets sloppy at certain points.
2. Your economy is a slight bit sloppy.
3. The most important. Your build order is all over the place. At multiple times you can get T-34/85s and you pick inferior units.
4. The reason you won that game is because your opponent was absolutely terrible.
For a more detailed analysis checkout the video
If you have to sit through an ad I apologise, some donkey hats I've never heard of monetised it because of the CoH 2 soundtrack (I forgot to turn the music down). I don't monetise my videos, especially videos meant to help other members of the community.
People Mobile Defence is a hard doctrine to use stop using it.
If you need to ask for help on the forums you don't have the in game knowledge to make it work. This is not intended as an insult but a way of helping you improve.
Try using the other doctrines suggested, you need to be really good before you can use Ostheer Mobile Defense.
Assault Engineers are your close quarter engineer unit.
This^
Rear echelon troops are exactly that; rear echelon troops. They shouldn't be that combat effective. If anything they should be given a M12 Trench gun for better close to mid range efficiency, but they should only be good for defending. Not attacking.
They have basic combat training, that's nothing compared to what riflemen recieve.
Maybe give them an ability for the weapon given to them. If it is a BAR, they could get the volley fire ability. If they get a Bazooka, they can do a crit on a tank or a vehicle that slows down vehicles or detracts tanks at close range.
So you're telling me, that rear echelon troops, who would have little combat training, would have these skills?
IMHO rear echelons are good, maybe giving them a M12 shotgun for better close range DPS is good but their skills should be removed and given to a different unit. To be honest suppressive volley should be given to riflemen at vet 2 (or with BARS/1919s) since it would help them scale into the mid/late game better.
This, this, this, 100 times this. CoH 2 is fun and exhilirating because of the RNG. It's why I refuse to believe people who want it stripped out are long time fans. It's the heart and soul of CoH, it's CoH's defining feature.
It leads to some of the most exhilarating experiences ever. Praise RNGesus lord of us all!
interesting only to you, the outcome of that scenario is also luck-dependant, if someone happens to have a squad near the area and recapture the KT, is never because he predicted vehicle was going to be abandoned, what is "interesting" in watching both opponents right-clicking and the nearer squad to the KT capture it?
You don't keep a mobile reserve near you Tank? Dude if you just send tanks in without infantry and AT support you are over extending and Relic has said on multiple occasions they want to punish non-combined arms game play.
When ever I lose a tank to abandonment I can simply shoot a Faust or shot a rifle nade at it. Being prepared for bullshit means you can counter it quickly.
Been on a nasty losing streak so I'm hoping to find some help here. This is a typical game for me. I do "Ok" early game and it just gets progressively worse as the game progresses. I was trying really hard to fortify my front in the beginning that I didn't want to grab this VP until I was satisfied with my defensive line. Didn't even have a chance to call in my armor before my line started crumbling.
If someone could give me some pointers or tell me if I'm doing something wrong that would be fantastic.
All right man I took a look, I recorded a video of your game and really tried to spot the flaws you can fine that here:
If you cbf watching the video I can summarise it as such
1. Your Ally cost you that game. Lvl 154 and he doesn't know how to counter T-70 rush - top kek
2. You make some questionable tactical decisions. You still need to learn when to sacrifice field presence.
3. Your micro is sloppy in high intensity fights, understandable but it happens.
4. You and your ally forget to back cap two resource points leaving you 10 muni and 6 fuel short. You basically neglected you economy.
There is more but the video covers them.
About you playing 2* 1v1: The map is designed to make you do this. But if you still play a 1v1 on other maps then yeah, there is a bit of an issue there.
