I think anyone you says the kubel is OP just needs to drive one around, it has the worst pathing in the game and that is saying something.
>Driving forward when ordered to reverse? Check
>Crazy Uturns when reversed manually? Check
>Tokyo drifts? Check
Don't get me wrong it is a good unit, but if they are going to increase it's price than fix the pathing for godsake |
I think it's important to note that the original CoH came out in 2006. You think that relic would have been able to take the experience and improved technology over the years and make a very polished squeal.
But the optimization, pathfinding and bugs are pretty horrendous sometimes. Of course vCoH wasn't perfect, but you can cut it some slack for being the first of it's kind. I personally cannot help but feel that there are external factors at play on the team. I think Sega is really pressuring the team to make the most money that it can. WF was an awesome expansion (even with the bugs it brought) but the team should now solely focus on polishing the game not some new American campaign that will drain resources away from the tasks at hand. |
Cheers thanks for that response, now I know how to use the stun shot better |
(Firstly this isn't a relic hate thread I am just generally curious.)
This is the studio that created the highest rated RTS of all time (vCoH)
And then you look at CoH 2 and it is full of so many frustrating factors/bugs/glitches that have never been fixed (I don't need to list them as we are well aware of them).
So the question is what happened to Relic? Why can they not fix these problems? Did most of the staff change? Are the new staff just a little bit terrible? Was it something to do with Sega taking over instead of THQ?
I mean relic obviously knows about all the problems in COH 2 (I am not taking about balance) so why are they unable to fix them (I am mainly taking about glitches were stuff just doesn't work)? Are they unable because they simply don't know how?
P.S: Coh 2 is still a great game and I play if everyday, it's just that these bugs are holding it back and I cannot understand why relic doesn't fix them |
Yeah I don't know what's the deal with this is, maybe it got replaced by the stun shot (which doesn't fire 80% of the time) |
Gotta love the found in alpha, still a problem bugs. Look at that sound popping issues with headphones that has existed since COH2 Alpha. No fix.
For the love of god relic fix that popping sound! It has driven me to mental breakdowns, I play in fear of my eardrums exploding! |
I feel axis infantry cannot effectively destroy bridges (as they lack demolition or satchel charges).
Currently the best way to destroy a bridge is by attacking ground with a tank, however, all races can do this and it is only the axis infinity that cannot plant charges.
This could be over come by giving axis infantry the ability to purchase demolitions. Maybe just a kit that could only be used on bridges.
If you have any tips on how axis infantry can blow bridges please let me know as I would appreciate any advice on the topic. |
from personal experience the rifle grenade tends not to work when the concentration of enemies it will hit is too great. The past 3 times it has happened to me, it would have kill/wounded over ten enemy soldiers |
I once tried to use the doctrine just for the conversion and the railway arty. And I must say that it is quite terrible: 200 ammo, only 3 shells, slow, inaccurate. Plus once you use it once they will know it is the same arty over and over again and therefore just move out of the way. I thought it could be a redeeming factor, how wrong I was. |
I think someone needs to say it again
Because it's a expensive static unit and it would be extremely hard and pointless to use it if it was couldn't fire through all the small shot blockers on the map. |
