Wait, what kind of vet4? Are we still in ostheer subforum?
True. I confused the sections. Still a pop increase is a nerf. |

It only lost its vet2 armour buff.
And had it's pop increased and combat blitz was nerfed and moving scatter was increased and moving accuracy was decreased and vet 4 range bonus was removed and sight bonus is now restricted to being stationary. Yeah it only lost vet 2 armour. |

This patch is RoF buff and armour nerf. Which means it should kill infantry faster.
the Rof buff was for the main gun. It's now more vulnerable to handheld AT and therefore less effective against infantry. |
For what? Unit stats?
For the measure of allied bias |
I wish the commanders were historically accurate. Patton for US or Ivan Bagramyan for ruskies. Then use the coh 1 progression style (3 commanders per faction, 6 options over 2 trees). Then for flavour purposes, try to line up the abilities to the commanders that they represent.
For example:
US Commander Andrew P. Poppas of the 101st Airborne
Ability tree one:
2 CP Air Drop resources
3 CP Paratroopers
3 CP Air Drop Equipment
Ability tree two:
2 CP Timed Detonation Charges
1 CP Thompson Upgrades
3 CP Mustang Strafe
I'm just randomly tossing something out there but there are a few reasons I would much rather enjoy this design. 3 commanders for each faction would make balancing a whole lot easier. Fewer commanders would flatten the learning curve. |
That plus PaK43 LITERALLY uses 88.
The Flak 88, pak43 88 and the tiger 88 are all different guns. It's just the barrel diamiter that is the same. |
Corrections for penals:
-they get 2 ptrs, cons get 3
-satchel is not the same as nade, it can not be used as such unless opponent is blind or you happen to stumble on setting up MG round the corner
-satchel is replaced with AT only satchel with PTRS upgrade
-ptrs can be effective, but not efficient unless used on cons(because of cons cost and 3 PTRS instead of 2), in other situations ist only supplemental deterrent/anti armor flank weapon

"Panzer IV
The Panzer IV for the OKW is being modified to have more powerful anti-infantry capabilities with a cost reduction to match its performance.
Cost from 360/150 to 380/140
Population from 12 to 14
Scatter from 7.5/6.4 to 6.5/5.54
Penetration from 120/110/100 to 125/115/110
Veterancy 2 scatter bonus from 0.75 to 0.866
Veterancy 4 range bonus removed
Veterancy 5 sight bonus requires the tank to remain stationary
Panzer V Panther
The Panther has received adjustments to make it more accessible in 1v1 but less attractive to field groups of Panthers in team games due to increased fire on the move penalties and increased population.
Fuel cost from 200 to 185
Moving scatter from 1.7 to 2
Moving accuracy from 0.65 to 0.5
Population from 16 to 18
Veterancy 4 range bonus removed
Veterancy 5 sight bonus requires the tank to remain stationary
Veterancy 2 armor bonus removed.
King Tiger
To prevent the unit from wiping full health squads at range and while on the move, the following changes have been made:
Angle scatter from 4 to 7.5
Distance scatter max from 4 to 5.7
Scatter offset from 0.25 to 0.185
Population from 21 to 23
Veterancy 4 sight bonus removed"
These seem like largely nerfs for okw armour.

Exactly, not good player is gonna be hit by an at satchel with any tank. U basically have to charge a tank into a penal blob to even be hit by it.
Not true at all. Everything has a snare, they just chase it while the engine is damaged. |
This guy understands it ^ +1. There are many issues with the game currently, and this is just one of the few. Essentially Axis armor was too difficult for some people to deal with in the lategame, or poor decisions were made and they couldn't deal with it. So they nerfed heavy armor to oblivion and now axis crutch on mediums. Panthers, Tigers and elephants are all essentially unuseable against competant opponets if ceteris paribus
This is pretty much my feeling since the patch. I don't understand why the panther took so much nerf, it's underperformance was already an issue.
