I would say American vehicles have the best survivability in the game, keeping USF vehicles alive is easy mode. I mean how often can you say you've had a vet 3 scout car or kubel reach the end of the game like an m20 can?

Actually its bugged in two ways I believe. My crews seem to only be able to crit repair vehicles they just hopped out of (for whatever reason), making orphan crews only useful to repair to 100% (or have Thompsons )
I only try to save crews with vet, since vet is the only way you will be able to keep up with German lategame mediums and heavies.
Its actually bugged in several ways sometimes it plain just does not work i'm not sure why, but also it can be canceled if any other vehicle or something like that (i've had my own sherman do this) makes the crew move after you start it then it does not work. I've also had it not work for no good reason at all but put it on CD for my vehicle crew. It needs work for sure. As far as I know though you have to wait until the repair image goes away or it will take your munitons put it on CD and will NOT work, which is kind of varied in times if there is shit in the way when they hop out some times it takes much longer cause the crew kinda bumbles around.
Currently though I agree with Kaitof USF are way to munition starved atm to raise the cost at all. Plus it is not always that easy to do you can easily have something go wrong and end up giving your sherman to the enemy and really bite you in the ass. Most the time you also have to use smoke from the sherman too to cover it while emergency repairing which cost more munitions. |
"You as comunity" ruined OKW and now you think it's "bad designed" while in alpha, beta, and at the beginning of WFA were simply loving the faction, nothing about "bad design" said then. It became "bad designed" only after fanboys tears destroyed it. The soviet nerfs you mentioned were blatantly needed since longtime ago, long before they were asked. And they only ocured because the same fanboys, bored to death to play only one faction, tried a little axis factions too, and they didn't win anymore. And they like to win. The "against OKW" offensive stopped because the faction is simply wrecked (LOL "balanced" LOL) but now, what do you know, Ostheer starts to be what it's supposed to be. The mg42 change (needed for such a long time) just came and we already have 1-2 threads in which nerfing is required in order to make it shit as it was before. The stug was recenlty changed back into what it supposed to be, a TD, and now we have a TWP thread.
I am sure especially in team games you were loving the faction when you had to do nothing but make unkillable volks squads that countered all allied armor and obers that out dpsed all allied infantry and then just make a KT every single game. Boring as hell and dumb. They are much more balanced now and most I see using a lot more combined arms especially since the rakaten buff. The way it should be. Would also be alright with them having a medium tank but that is about all I see them missing maybe a mortar only if they give USF one.
Most people me included are fine with the MG 42, but are not happy with the fact the maxim remains nerfed to shit as it has been and is useless. Also that USF don't have great options to counter it, but I am fine using smoke.
This always seems typical of the axis having better things and allies not having the equivalent from everything to doctrinal to non-doctrinal. Stuff like calling in a Tiger Ace which is just a dumb idea to begin with. I mean if they were going to buff the MGs then fine why did they not do the same for soviet?

Muniton conversion needs changed so it cannot be used instantly or by decision with a penalty would solve most of it.
AI strafe AOE needs lowered
AT strafe damage needs lowered so that it cannot one shot multiple full hp mediums.
Stuka dive bomb I don't know what to do about really guess make it so there is a chance the plane could be shot down other than that I'm not too worried about it I can micro around it, harder to do when it can be spammed though as you have to dodge it like 5 or more times in a match and one slip up can be game changing.
CD's for one of the above are linked with the others I.E. can't call AI strafe pining my vehicle crews repairing then call stukka dive bomb on the vehicles that now cannot be moved or recrewed due to AI strafe one call in right after another bullshit from the same player. |
Like my clan is pretty much on top of everything when it comes and 3's and 4's and we dropped KT spam a while ago after it's armor got nerfed. It's a lot more efficient to combine a Panther with a Stuka or some other combo.
I said it before, I wouldn't have a problem with the KT being limited to 1 if they gave OKW a generalist medium tank.
I often wonder why more OKW players don't use the medium tank commander? Does not seem like a terrible one. If they gave you a medium tank Alex it would just be more burning panzers and food for my shermans kappa. |
The B4 is one unit in a commander that leads you nowhere, comparing it to several broken abilities in a commander is dumb. B4 had counter play, recon and bomb, go find it with support, park units behind buildings. Still a silly unit with precision strike but now useless anyway.
CAS you cannot hide you cannot shoot down in time and cannot prevent, B4 was frustrating but was nowhere near the influence on a game this has. CAS doesn't tie up your MP into buying a gun, which can and was easily reconnoitred and destroyed. The B4 isn't built anymore so it's a dead comparison even with 3 of the scatter bulletins it doesn't hit anything, 9/10 players do seem to use CAS however.
If we're going to play the "Funny how player complained about" game why isn't it funny that axis players whined about the old IL2 strafe and this is fibe.
They use it because they can be completely losing the early to mid game being out played and out microed then the magical CAS bullshit starts and slowly drains your map control and negates all the unit preservation that you have done/been rewarded through good micro by a few clicks.
b4 is 10 times different and ALWAYS was very counter able. Not CAS just axis crutch/abuse tool.

How can any sane person, with any shred of credibility in this game, say that CAS is not bat shit OP. Is this like some kind of combined effort of trolling by some people in here? How can giving instant conversion to a faction that is extremely muni heavy dependent and can effectively jump start your mainline infantry to late game status with mg42 upgrade, rifle nade spam, ETC. And for anyone that thinks strafes take skill is deluded. Leading your strafes and putting it in the right direction just means you aren't brain dead and passed the fifth grade. The interaction it creates with you and your opponent is not something that should exist in this game, let alone any game. They are trying to micro their real created units while you are just creating bullshit out of the air that is spammable and not nearly as punishable as what they have.
Muni conversion should not be instant and should work like some of the other conversion abilities we have in the game, and the fucking cool downs are way too short. This doctrine in its current form is ridiculous in all game modes, more so in 2v2+, no matter the counters or strategies against it. People who think that because a counter exists to a certain strategy, playstyle, or doctrine that it somehow justifies its OPness are insane IMO.
Most people who defend CAS in this thread are the same ones who abuse it, that's the truth if you want it from me.

Uh, due to OKW's fuel penalty the Stuka costs about 136 fuel, so it's almost worth two Kat's. The Kat and Stuka are also two different rolls of artillery, the Kat is focused on area denial and the Stuka is made for breaking enemy defensive lines in preparation for an assault.
That is very funny. Mostly I only see it being used to wipe allied infantry which is easy to guess on all the dota lane like maps
