We will have to play around with the numbers through testing, maybe we just increase the fuel and not the manpower? testing will reveal this.
Comet still the fastest tank in the game and deals massive damage still. Although its scatter is increase slightly its accuracy, splash etc makes it way more versatile. Problem was it was able to move fast, kill stuff and tank a lot of damage. so yeah, if the cost needs to be adjusted or numbers need to be adjusted thats what testing will prove or disprove.
I don't get it why can Allies not have good tanks like axis? If were going to nerf its hp increase its accuracy? I use it all the time it is fine how it is now, it dosent have that great of pen and its accuracy dosen't seem the best on the move. You know but the panther is fine why can there not be some sort of parity between late game forces?

Retreat is all about unit preservation.
Brace is all about preservation of units which cant run.
Therefore they are similar, cause they are made for the same purpose.
Im still amazed how anyone can compare buildings (trucks) to units which brits emplacements are.
Well said. All the brit emplacements are extremely important and meant to stay around for a while in the game look how much they cost. In the long run though they don't drain mp like tommys and brits can barely afford to reinforce tommys now. Brace should remain how it is. |
i think ill drop my 2 reichsmark on this one:
with ost being my favorite faction and the tiger being my alltime favorite tank (fanboyism is stronk!), i still think that the range of a vet 2 tiger would be too much. it should be 50 MAX (45 + 5 vet bonus), but i could live with 45, too.
talking about tigers: why the hell didnt they adjust Target Weakpoint on the Tiger Ace as they did with the stug G? a heavy 50 range tank with insane speed, sight AND a turret shouldnt be able to stun. give him the same disable-maingun-shot and it should be way less frustrating to play against.
or even better redesign it. make it a vet 3 tiger off the bat for something like 300 fuel, no penality whatsoever. its just to tempting to pick that commander when youre game is going badly and that is horrible design. you should pick a commander because it fits your overall playstyle not because you need to hit the emergency brake

I get that but what I'm saying is the break out will never happen due to their MP bleed. You will always get 2v1'ed due to your unit costs as well as lose ground very ez as you are very cover dependent as well as emplacement dependent. It just doesn't work the way the brits are set up rn, their units dont preform well enough (AVRE, commando excluded) to validate their cost both time wise as well as resource wise. They scale better than USF but whats the point if you get cut down by double the army value as yours.
Alex your logic behind your post makes sense but with the balance of their early game so awkward and being cover dependent they cant get to late game unless u are bad and let them get there.
Mittens is exactly right have you played the brits Alex against real players? You are always 2v1 unit wise there is no other way, the RE suck at fighting. Axis makes double sniper a 222 flak truck ostwin pz4 rush your pretty much screwed every single time. Usuauly they almost have a pz4 out by the time you get the 6 pounder and you have hardly ANY ground and probably lost your fuel or that is the only small part of the map you do still hold.
You can't just always stay in cover with IS and you don't gain ground that way. Also the 4 man squad makes them highly wipe able from snipers 222 etc. Now paired with soviets and USF they might have a better chance to shine there late ground, but so far every single game you play in trial its brits only. 1v1 I do not see them have any chance of late game either unless as mittens said you do not pressure them and just let them sit there.
All axis really have to do is spam grens or volks and you win everytime the man power bleed will wreck you along with not having any ground help of purely not being able to field the same amount of units

Last night i was playing soviets and i wish i saved the replay a ST hit my full hp IS2 that was vet 1 to two hits from death i know the kill shot after the sturm was a jagdp not sure if that was the only shot maybe a shrek or panther hit it was a big tank battle.
The sturm how it is is fine and so is avre. I had time to reverse but i kind of wanted to see what happened because of all the avre topics.
Ive used the avre in the trial like 10 times. Its not that great its turrent constantly will move to whatever enemy is near by and there is no hold fire button that i seen so when you want to fire at something 9 times out of 10 you have a huge warning time of when it stops and the turrent starts rotating towards the target your sending the shot at. So its really only great at taking out immobile static positions like big paks, okw trucks. Its not that fast, yeah it can get the RE speed upgrade but its not like its a blitzkreig panther. It also has very little range so i dont see the problem if you cant tank snare that thing and take it out you should play allies weve been dealing with tiger ace, kt, sturm for a long time now. Yeah it has more hp but cant do anything other than fire main gun, has bad range, and its slow as shit. It also comes out really late and it is expensive.
Some thing ive seen from using avre, it take about 3 hits to kill a okw truck, i hit a big pake with it directly and it decrwed it but did not destroy the pak itself it. |
Kind of its purpose is to be a damage sponge, it dosent have great AT capibilities itself and its not that fast so i dont see the problem with it its a infantry support tank. Why should allies not get some heavy armor like the KT?
Besides I wouldnt worry about brits tanks because 90 percent of the time the game is over in 10 minutes. Unless you let brits sit at one point and build a crap ton of positions and dig in. They have 0 counter for snipers basicly and the tommy man power drain slows there teching to slower than molasses.
They also cant really do much about MG's and kubel either other than build bren carrier but it delays teching and isnt that good until you get the mg for it.
Also if you rush a flak truck ostwind or pz4 the brits are probably screwed then because the 6 pounder is about all they have AT wise well after pz4 hits the field. Also they do not have a tank snare so as long as you keep driving piat miss anyway because the way it targets and projects. The tommys also wipe to easy so its ludacris trying to piat them.

brits feel too slow early on, they need to buff tommies outside cover and make them slightly cheaper to maintain tbh
yeah they are way to expensive and wipe easily because of the 4 man squad and you have to pay to get them to 5 so you don't have to worry as much. There early game is really hard to survive. 1 wiped tommy squad is a HUGE deal.
Emplacements cost way too much MP and are taken out too easily to justify there cost.
Teching seems too expensive to me as well. |
double the late game tank options for axis, vet 5 infantry, better commanders CAS and always little quirks like that for instance soviet lend lease planes having to fly from the enemy side but luftwaffe supply does not. Chokepoint 3v3 and 4v4 maps that promote axis camping, but perhaps the brits will change this with there emplacements. USF still needs a pershing. |

Thread summary: I consider light vehicles tanks and cant micro them so i made a thread expressing my micro issues. Dont disagree with me, cus then ill explain how better i am than you whilst, again, failing to micro them in the best light vehicle patch to-date.
