If you build more than 3 RE you are a no-skill blobber.
Joking aside: REs are great, but for best use combine them with Riflemen or other troops.
A BAR RE blob with some riflemen is great; a zook RE blob with Paths or Paras is also great.
Rule of thumb is to make sure they don't get wiped, treat them like the trash troops they are, and never forget all the things they can do. In a lategame situation a rushed fighting position can mean the difference between holding a sector, or forcing your opponent to commit to a different army comp/use arty.
Also, don't forget that the Captain can rush production of infantry. At vet 3 he can get an RE in literally 3 seconds. |
the truth is i will win this game - but my own Rail Altilery Wiped wiped 2 Important Riffleman Squads- of course no one of the shells land on German Units --- WTF RNG and most funny thing i throwed that arty far away behind VP http://www.twitch.tv/sundaynightfights/v/16967071 06:49:00 |
Where exactly did price click on? The shells were consistently falling on the south side of the vp. Either Price misclick in the heat of the moment or the scatter stats had a mistake.
The flares were dropped on the opening in the bocage, north east of the southernmost VP; directly on top of Symbd Pak guns and MG. |
Common consensus? You, rabidpotato, and who?
Both of them played well and did what was necessary to maximize chances of victory, which in a tournament setting is the only thing that one can expect competitors to do.
They're both amazing players, I just dislike hypocrisy and the fact that everybody (especially axis fanboys, idk why) bandwagons on the SPrice hate train...so I do this quasi trolling thing. |
I believe common consensus is SPrice is a better player, and lost due to RNG bomb.
Ah, lelic. First you release horrible patch immediately prior to the commencing of the bigger tourney in coh history, and then dis.
Like I said in my thread, every bomb tells a story. |
SPrice? Other than abusing every possible shit, blobbing every possible blob units in every patch, I can't see how he has any skill or micro to be at top 200 at all.
Having RE spam blob like this in a tornament is a disgrace and simply disrespectful to some extent.

Haha, on a personal note, I don't want to see RNG bombs go. I love them too much.
Every bomb tells a story |
They should just give them Paratrooper Thompsons, since it's Lend-Lease.
Thompsons were even shipped standard-issue with halftracks to the Soviets. This idea makes perfect sense. |
This. Watch the squad micro that whole game and see who does a better job preserving units, it is not price. That is a fact that has nothing to do with strat.
People say swarming is legitimate tactic. I would agree if they were coming from different angles and actually using tactical maneuvering. But if you watch price continually blobbed all his RE. Was there some solid micro of that blob yes and he did good job harass capping and handling so many M10's bit he bobbed pure and simple and only got away with it because of nature of upkeep of RE and the vehicle crew exploit he used on all his M10s and even his Sherman Howitzers

They ain't called RNG Bombs for nothin!
On a serious note. The only way this would work is if you made it a railway arty clone and made the first shell fall at 10 seconds. This would make it less viable against enemy units but more so against OKW trucks and stuff.
This would be preferable.
In terms of authenticity the Amis having the only totally RNG based off-map also makes no sense, because the Amis were known for pinpoint laser arty irl.
