Thus I wouldn´t count them as the best TD in the game. Sure, they out dps those but have to engage in unfavourable engagements with their 50 range. StuGs also go down very fast. The Panther on the other hand is pure garbage in its current state. Like many you are simply mixing definition between best and OP. Not having the highest range make them balance with their price and moment you can field them. Same with not having turrets. In: COH2 Gameplay

No Stug pen reliably anything you oppose to with a good dps, gain armor with vet and TWP. all of that for 90 fuel. You only need to have a pair of it + vet1 to counter anything heavy USF/Sov and Brit can field. It is the best TD in game because of its cost efficiency, get two of them (180 fuel) and next you can focus on killing infantry, nothing under 300 fuel cost will pass through your stugs. To do the same, USF need to field 2 jacksons: 250 fuel, Sov need to field 2 SU-85: 260 fuel, and Brit 2 FF: 310 fuel. Yes those deal more alpha damage than stugs, yes as MrSmith says they are better in pack, but who can afford to maintain more than 2 of them with the rest of their army? Your opponent? Well that's probably because he outplayed you. Now, something to keep in mind is that they are best TD but also not OP at all, you can counter them by many ways which made them simply balanced. Problem is I needed PzWerfer as a AI unit but it completly sucked so instead of a Panther I had to get Brummbar as a another AI unit which completly ruined my plans. Its difficult to determine if you aren't just trolling. Pzw isn't a high value unit on 1vs1. low armor, large cooldown, cost a lot to unlock and then is really limited in its use aka, counter blob. Unless you can catch your opponent full retreating in his base, you're not going to get paid really fast for your investment. So yes, a Brumbar is most likely to do a better job in 1vs1, even if it is more expensive to build. Brumbar counter blobs and lone units, doesn't have a cooldown, have a high armor and it is definitively a shock unit in the sense of - You need a good damn TD to kill it fast -. Compared to the Calliope, well as USF, or take the Calliope Doctrine or you take the Buldo doctrine, I guess the difference is there + prices. Not that I'm against nerfing the calliope, just that I never felt your experience vs it while I'm also playing a lot and exclusively Ostheer lately. I have even lost my USF ranking.... What pushed for this thread? Just done 1v1 vs USF. Calliope vs PzWefer. Non-doc Calliope killing unlimited amount of models, leaving Paks40 without any chances to survive. Meanwhile PzWerfer shooting directly at mortar - 2 models down. Point is not to buff PzWerfer but nerf Calliope so it acts like a Katyusha. Don't get it why call-in is way more powerful and durable than T4 unit. So what's the reason behind sucking Pzwefer and wiping Calliope? Or maybe different way. What's the reason for normal acting PzWerfer and way way more powerful Calliope? Lol, is that because Katitof been ban that you turn your jacket from Allied Fanboi to Axis one? I'm not really sure Pzw sucks, I don't have a lot of personal experience using it cuz rocket arty isn't my play style but every time I see some on the battlefield, they do the job. In: COH2 Gameplay

If someone is spamming penal, the best answer isn't grenadiers even with Lmg upgrade, Penal are Anti inf units. A 5th man isn't going to solve anything. IIRC Barton's rak couldn't deal with the Dodge (missed) or the Stuart. Aim times messes with the unit but on the same hand, i'll say that no speed penalty on vet1 is REALLY good (for that level of vet). 2-No one complains about Ostwind, specially on 1v1, from OKW. It's mostly the OH version (either it's role on T3 or cost/performance). Everything that is a call in, is better. If it's about AA, the only great unit is the Centurion, followed by OHW/USF AA HT. Both Ostwind and M5 sucks. Almost all AA against single strafe sucks (on that Barton's game, i remember seeing double vet3/5 Ostwind not been able to deal with Jesulin recon plane). Ostwind performance DO suck if it's on the move. On that game, Barton mostly fended off infantry coming to it and vet quite a lot through received damage (from those zooks). Lack of manual reload makes its a bit unreliable sometimes. Scavenger doctrine is simply the best 1vs1 doctrine vs USF. CP8 Ostwind comes at a moment hard counters are minutes far behind, even more if the USF player invested in fuel upgrades and a stuart. Ostwind + raketen has always been a really good combo. I let you watch again the match Barton vs Jesulin but Barton has been able to last really long after being dominated, to call 2 king tigers just because Ostwind + raken is one of the most powerful combo in game. This and being lucking to not lose his raketen when they were clearly over extending and had to retreat through various Jesulin's squads. rak problem = any atgun problem. Do you think pak hits better t-70 and stuart? Do you think M1 hits better kubel and 222? Rak missing problem is a perception issue of some people here only playing OKW. Aim time is balance with the camo, you can't have the same aim time as any other atgun and also being able to camo till mid range shot from your target. If you can't acknowledge that, better not be part of the balance team. In: COH2 Balance
