Thread: [Winter Balance Update] OKW Feedback8 Dec 2020, 03:58 AM I know one of the things the balance team wanted was to diversify okw builds by encouraging people a get a second squad of Sturmpioneers, and I think a good way of doing that would be to make their flamethrower nondoctrinal. This way OKW players are encouraged to buy a Second Spio squad one to clear building and the other one to sweep mines. Volks Flame grenade could be replaced with a similar one to what the Pfus get, and Firestorm could get a 251 halftrack (or something else) to replace the now redundant flamer upgrade In: COH2 Balance

E.g. 1. Price up to 220. 35sec ability. 2. Remove LMG42 upgrade. Instead: - T1 (build): 40 mun 2Panzerbüchsen (needs 1 weapon-slot, can't be dropped = fixes missing blue-print-problem) [less damage as PTRS but option to shoot a AT-grenade (Granatbüchse) dealing some extra damage] - T2 (tech): 30 mun 1SVT + 1*Lee-Enfield as "Beutewaffe" (need 1 weapon-slot, can't be dropped adding some more DPS) 3. Give them 2 weapon-slots with T4. 4. With Vet3 they get an out-of-cover-bonus, -0,9 damage for 3-5sec. So they don't get fuked as quick by arty. -> less spam, filling new interesting role, option to increase their power by stealing weapons, passive boost if you care them. ------ All over, it is time to move HMG42 back to T1, for maybe push Grens into HQ. Grens should get non-doc shock-grendes to be used more effective without HMG. why not just make osttruppen OSTheer version of cons? Buff their standard accuracy to be the same as their in cover Accuracy and raise their cost to 240. In: COH2 Balance

Since they're technically the same unit IRL, if the Stormtrooper MP40 is weaker than the StG44 the Sturmpioneers could get 4x Stormtrooper MP40s. Sturmpioneers Damage 5 Accuracy near 0.621 Accuracy mid 0.506 Accuracy far 0.403 Range near 3 Range mid 15 Range far 28 Range0 - 35 Rate of fire near 10 Rate of fire mid 10 Rate of fire far 10 Stormtrooper MP40 Damage 5 Accuracy near 0.81 Accuracy mid 0.485 Accuracy far 0.197 Range near 10 Range mid 17 Range far 30 Rate of fire near 8 Rate of fire mid 6 Rate of fire far 1 Sturmpioneer StG44 is better at mid to long range, but Stormtrooper MP40 is far better at range 10 the mp40 are at maximum firepower unlike SP STG-44 that needs to be at range 3. On multiple maps this allows the allies to cap vital points/buildings. This forces you to attack with the defencive oriented grens. Instead of buffing the grens you should consider making them buildable from the HQ again (and the MG back to T1). Also, the 5 man Grens are crutch that needs to go. It overshadows the other commanders (on maps where you don’t need to rush buildings) That's an interesting idea but I think Grens would need to be reworked a bit for that to work. Here's my suggestion: Grenadiers swap places with HMG42 Squad size increased from 4 to 5 Gren Kar98k damage reduced from 16 to 14 Squad cost increased from 240 to 280 Vet1 medkits now Free Veteran Squad leader upgrade replaced with normal G43 upgrade this would help LMG42 and G43 upgrade make a come back, and reduce the need for Osttruppenn and Assgren.
