I used to think this unit was not worth it, but it feels a little more effective than before with all the changes to infantry, upgrades, and so on. Now I'm not so sure. What do other people think?
I been playing with pathfinder a lot lately. and honestly romeo I been thinking the same thing. there a lot more useful then I thought but still not as good as the axis counter part. romeo I don't know if u tried it but if u get 2 bars on a pathfinder it turns into a very good unit. but makes it more costly. the pathfinders keep the 2 snipers they have plus 2 bars and its seems they can start killing things pretty well. if usa players like airborne and havnt tried this try it. I usually get lvl 3 fast and have about 40 kills in a game with pathfinders as long as u don't lose them. but they still should get a cost reduction imo maybe 270 would be fine |

Sorry, but hardly anyone except very best players are looking for a challenge, players love to have stuff instantly and effortlessly.
Developers have spotted that years ago, so let me ask you JohnnyB, why do you believe 99% of "mainstream" non indie games are extreemly easy to play and even if you do a fuck up you are either rewarded for it in some way or just game automatically loads you back just moments before the event that messed you up?
If you believe axis armies are high risk high reward and people play them for the challenge, well, you're lying to yourself.
If people wanted challenge they would play AGAINST okw this symbol, not with it.
usa so easy mode usa tanks can only take 2 hits to get destroyed. okw tanks can take up to 20-30 hits /misses in some cases. I have many replays of shit bouncing/missing and then 10 penetrates to kill |
cant agree more vaz, ive been using it to and it just makes me mad how fragile and weak this unit is. units this hmg attacks get yellow pinned after 2-3 shots. and red pinn after like 8 bursts. which gets me mad. sometimes it don't even red suppress. and will start reloading |

i'd skip usa, they are effectively handicapped at most phases of the game, unless someone goes all out grens/volks on rifles.
they have no counters to the current meta of kubels, insta pin mg34s, heavy tanks, lmg spam, snipers, except smoking the hell out of everything. nor do they have good non doctirnal building counters and grenades dont cut it.
soviets have a better fighting chance but not that much different since they suffer from inferior support teams, inferior infantry and inferior tanks.
only real way to beat axis now is to fight people who spam volks/sp without support teams/kubels and troll them around with m3 scout cars and flamers. against the mass majority of averagely decent people, you need to play better to match them in team games.

I mostly always play 2v2,n im really good to btw, and I always felt like usa was the hardest faction to play as in 2v2 and okw the easiest. that's for me tho might be different for other ppl. but I am glad to see this cuz everything I thought about allies team games is true by looking at this. and when I play someone who beat me as axis and we play again as me axis I always win. I put like 400 hours into playing as usa lately cuz they feel so tough just trying to get better but I feel like I been capped skill wise by this faction |
Fine, perfectly balanced, Allies just need to l2p and use smoke, mines, and intelligent flanking.
