Thread: how to defend this? 15 Jan 2015, 13:35 PM
Not sure if trolling... Awesome mortar won't help against quickly moving blob Ostwind is not far from Pz.IV in terms of cost and latter gives you both AT and AI unit, while both of them are negated by Jacksons Brummbar and Pwerfer require to invest too much in teching and come too late - you will get steamrolled by USF blob by that time Flame HT ![]() LMG42 are good, but 4-man gren squads are not that durable Stug E and Tiger are the only options because - they don't requre investing in teching - Stug comes early and Tiger is durable enough to fight Jacksons In: Strategy Desk
Thread: soviet t3 and t4 cost issues....15 Jan 2015, 13:16 PM
/disagree Overall better survivability through
If I have to choose between 4 Pz.IV and 5 T-34/76 I would pick Pz.IV all the time no matter what. I'd rather pay 125 fuel for a tank, than 100 fuel for a dead tank. I want to add that both Soviet and Ostheer T3 are overcosted and suffers almost the same teching problems. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Why Do You Lose Games?15 Jan 2015, 08:29 AM
Both micro and macro mistakes, but mostly micro. I lose frequently when opponent clearly outsmarts me or just hardcounters my strat (falls pop out behind snipers, stuka zu fuss against AT guns, etc). Also there are factors like: - game freezes/fast forward - infantry just doesn't say "Grenade!" - pathing, when you flanking with 3+ mediums In: Lobby
Thread: Did the Bulletin stacking stop?15 Jan 2015, 08:16 AM
They are grayed out in the "Recent" filter because you can't use them as currently selected faction (USF). They don't show later in "Intel bulletins" by the same reason. That isn't Rifleman bulletin, but cons/grens bulletin. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: OKW extremly OP, when a new patch will be out?15 Jan 2015, 08:12 AM
Agreed on the B4, it's an excellent Arty but getting it delays getting any other units for quite a long time. Yes B4 is the best counter to OKW forward HQ, unless ofc you went other doctrine. American Flak HT does have good armor penetration even against a Panzer II, unless ofc you went major. etc etc Get real arguments instead "Yeah I win when I do things right, unless if I do things wrong". Thread: Losing by VPs15 Jan 2015, 07:50 AM
Wrong. OKW doesn't play defensive because doesn't need to. All of their units are exceptionaly mobile. They just don't need to use MGs or AT guns like, for example, soviets do. They have it on infantry units (volkschreks for AT and obers for AI) which don't have drawbacks of restricted arc of fire, setup time or inability to retreat (even raketen can retreat and therefore most of the time can escape flanking). If something went wrong you can just retreat to forward base and it won't punish you much because you can get back in fight in a matter of seconds. This have especially big influence on large maps in bigger game modes like 4v4, where retreating to base sector is very punishing. Why play risky using team weapons that susceptible to flanking, when you can use mobile units that can flank? In: OKW Strategies
Thread: Have Guard Rifles aged well?15 Jan 2015, 07:32 AM
Guards pretty lackluster ATM. THey are not bad at vet 3 but generally ave performance issues. THey do work well supporting SU85s and AT guns hough. I like buton vehicles that go in for a flank. After that, you type "GET THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK OUTTA HERE!!!" as your AT destroys them Nope. They just press "Smoke" (which is cheaper than Button) and get back to safety.
Thread: Call in Ostheer 1v1 (Mechanised Assault)14 Jan 2015, 13:40 PM
Be careful with using 250 halftrack against infantry with flamers, especially penals because of 6-man durability. Flamers can damage your pgrens right inside the vehicle often causing more manpower bleed than you do with them. In other cases it is quite durable. Rifleman and Conscripts rifles have 9% chance to penetrate it. It takes 3 AT nades hits to destroy it.
