A faction that HAD the MOST sophiscated air support and artirelly coordination (USA) has only 1 air support ability and pretty poor ish off map strikes (time on target takes like 14 seconds to arrive).
My inner (and outer) Brit is recoiling in revulsion right now :C :C :C |
I'm playing a lot of 3v3 and 4v4 and "at my level" I never encountered this. Simply because they need the tanks when they make them.
They can't just put them in the base for a while and cluster tanks.
I'm not talking I'm playing on a high level, I think I'm playing on a medium level and really never ever encountered this.
I'm in the top 10-50 in 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 automatch (slumped a bit this week I assume, been pulling 16 hour work days, not had time to play).
I've never seen it.
As you said. Players build the tanks because they need the tanks. We don't have time to twiddle our thumbs in base and wait for a push in a bit.
The closest I get is when I have jacksons or wolverines in 2v2. Maps are small enough that I can just have the crew wait by the vehicle having a smoke until I know where my anti-armour is needed next. Saves me a little MP over time. |
1v1 Ost T4 is the problem. It needs to be made useful for 1v1.
Why's that, exactly?
How many T4 soviets do you see in 1v1? Aside from the current Katty bandwagon. |
Well it's a big problem for us... and if u have a better fix plz tell us.
Maybe a solution would be able to re-crew enemy unit only if in over cap ? That would already be better.
What do you think ?
Thank
Abandoned vehicles (and weapons) do not belong to anybody, they're neutral universally.
I do not have a better fix, which is why I think it should just be left as is. |
I would be interested in hearing if anybody used the US dirt mounds successfully.
Very situational.
Great for defending maps like trois point. Infi-rifle nades. Just get it behind some cover and have another unit provide LoS- rear ech inside give zero fucks about being able to see their target. Or walls and forests being in the way... |
Why does everyone say Ost T4 is bad? The Pwerfer was awesome these last few patches. Maybe if all the embittered diehard ost fans had pulled heir collective heads out of the sand and realized it had the same damage profile as the 'mad OP' katty with a much tighter, faster barrage, they could have had the fun I was having with that little beauty.
Especially hidden in a forwards spot to counter-battaery kattys and watch them get gibbed by my now shiny vet 2/3 werfer.
Panther still needs to be the same as the Ost one, but meh. Werfer was- and maybe still is- worth T4 in long 2v2 games. |
I re state exactly what I said on page 1 of this thread.
No fix does not punish legitimate play.
Not allowing capture at full pop has all sorts of problems.
*Vehicle crews and auto-squad reinforcing mean you can accidentally lock yourself out of your own tank.
*A lot of weapon teams have more pop cap per man than basic infantry- you become incapable of picking up a weapon team you legitimately want to steal.
*De-crewing an enemy tank that would take you over pop cap is now impossible, you have no choice but to destroy something you legitimately want and have earned because lol arbitrary restrictions.
*Not allowing re-crew at 101 stops any combination of the above happening. Want to steal a few 120mm mortars your opponent has just lost? No can do.
You try fix a largely irrelevant gimmick and restrict actual players doing legitimate things. This entire issue is a joke and why do people even care.
(Also tying pop cap to the vehicle crew is really bad because it means trying to preserve your crews cripples your economy, so cut that nonsense out before you suggest it)
(Also also exponential MP upkeep is also trivial because the hard end of gimmicky use of this means you can float at 100 in vehicle crews and then pop into tanks merely for the final moments of fighting so w/e. All you do, again, is punish people that end up at ~104 by normal methods of play) |
There's no fix which does not also punish legitimate or unfortunate play in the name of fixing a largely inconsequential gimmick.
Ergo nothing changing any time soon. |
Troop training is usually a waste very early game. Wait until your first tank, train that up so it can face stomp other tanks and wait for your fuel-free Super Tiger whilst making sure all your important units (PaK, Mortars, MG's) are vetted to the sky with excess fuel.
For bonus points, play with an OKW ally and vet their units up for extra hilarious results. After all- you have no more need for that fuel, your Tiger ace won't cost you any! Enjoy 10 troop training uses that any normal Ost player would have to forego to get their tiger. |
Exactly panther can only be used in kiting role in defense. Its a useless tank hunter to anything over vanilla t-34 and shermans, needs spotter mostly superficial range and penetration, worst DPS,shit accuracy especially on the move and has to flee from the first at gun or bazooka.
Range and pen ,and tehse words like sniper tank are just excuses of allied fanboys to keep panther extinct.I will use a pak and stug as sniper for its DPS thank you.Anything less than an is-2 can handle easy and more reliably. And for is-2 it comes late enough for tiger and not many use it.
Fix panther accuracy, nerf range to 40 coz its useless, and pentration lowered to 200-220 and price 155 fuel.
Oh ffs this is so much bull I can barely imagine what goes through your head.
The difference is that StuG have no health or turret or armour, AT guns are slow as balls and can be infantry wiped, and 50 range is only useless if you're criminally incompetent |
