Katyusha firing a bit faster (I mean thats what it's shtick was IRL) and Callopie not being a literal tank durability wise would be nice. Especially since going deep with a light vehicle is effective against every rocket artillery piece except the Callopie which is silly.
I'd go the other way with the calliope. Leave it durable but increase scatter so that it has got to expose itself to be effective. It keeps visual consistency and preserves faction differentiation, while reducing the unfairness of getting bombed by an unassailable monster from afar. |
I think they are plagued by faction design again... just like CoH1. Linear teching, with all the best units late game. What if you experimented with stuff like early 5 man squads, going for boys AT rifle spam, going royal engineers, etc?

Yes, but all tanks should be abandoned when hit by mortars, not just the open tops. After all, a mortar round would be pretty hard to distinguish from a p47 rocket from inside, so the crew would probably run away just in case. Also, so long as we're at it we should implement random air supremacy/artillery shells throughout the game. To better capture the feeling of WWII. Oh and every penetrating shot should be a kill. |
I have always neglected building munitions caches and built fuel caches instead on purpose since i have always thought the british benefit from fuelcaches more. I also always seem to have extra munitions availible, do i do something wrong?
Obviously there are different viable styles, but I think Brits are more a munitions faction than a fuel faction. At bare minimum, if you're floating munis you can be planting mines. Mines are the best way to snare tank so that your at guns can finish the buggers. |

Wait, did he actually get the Sovs in the match? I've seen folks show up as a wrong faction but never actually get it. Just ended up w/no bulletins or commanders. |
I'm not really a fan of this upgrade tbh. I don't really have trouble keeping my tommys alive (usually, lol) and prefer to keep the popcap for other things. |
I think that Brits are underperforming at the moment, but only slightly. They have a lot of very strong units-tommys are great, the sniper is good, comets, cromwells, and centaurs are all better than their counterparts. So any buffs would have to be pretty subtle or we'd just end up overpowering them again.
ATM I think that it's a touch too difficult to attack entrenched positions in the early/ midgame. Maybe reducing the cost of the mortar pit and the reinforce point slightly? Or perhaps reducing the cost of the grenade upgrade? Or folding grenades into teching somehow. |
