I'm looking forward to this patch for a plethora of reasons such as:
1)If it's a balance patch, people are going to lose their minds undoubtedly which means I get to see meltdowns happen on this forum.
2)If it's a content patch, people are going to get angry, come onto the forum and complain about the lack of balance.
It's going to be fun to watch, so I'll get some entertainment on the 31st at least. |
I'm disappointed in all of you who voted for the Commonwealth Army option. There was no such thing as the Commonwealth Army in WW2, but people insist to call the British Army the Commonwealth Army for god knows which reason.
Anyways, i'm going teach you guys some history on the issue so people know that the Australian, Canadian, UK, Indian and New Zealand troops who fought in WW2 were considered part of the British Army.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recruitment_in_the_British_Army
Here's a link so you guys can read on the recruitment of the British Army throughout the centuries, and also notice how basically every conflict the British Army was in, there was no mention of the Canadian Army, Australian Army, Indian Army and etc. Do you know why this is? Because those countries were British subjects and their loyalty was to the Crown and the British Army.
People on this forum wants CoH2 to be more historically accurate(Certain posters insist that Americans can't fight in Stalingrad/Eastern Europe, units need to fit the timeline to the nearest mark and etc), yet they don't want historical names? Disappointing to see soo many people ignore history, but that's what happens when you bring the British Empire into the discussion; people always seem to ignore logic and spew out inane bs.
Anyways, I forgot I wanted to see Valentine tanks for the British Army with different variants/upgrade options, and of course the classic Ordnance QF 17 pounder which is probably considered the best AT gun in the war; it was more powerful and reliable than any AT gun the Americans invented, and better than anything German engineering could come up with. It literally destroyed German heavy armour head-on. |
I'll explain:
It was able to do so because you didn't prevented it from happening with schreks.
I'm expecting to have my 120 petrol Soviet T3 or T4 same good.
Yes, so i'm correct in stating that a flak truck can't solo a tank in CoH2. Unlike certain people here, I actually play the game so I would know if my flak hq can kill a solo Sherman, t-34 or IS2.
Also, Russian tier buildings and the truck tiers for OKW aren't the same, and thus you have to treat them differently. Russians don't have any reduced income AND they can build petrol caches so petrol isn't a problem for them, and to be honest I would say they pay pretty much nothing for their tier buildings.
OKW on the other hand suffers resource penalties and thus even placing a 80 petrol truck to build units(Which you also have to have petrol to buy), is extremely risky and if you setup the wrong one, that can lose you the game. The Flak HQ's damage is needed, since before the damage buff, two rifle squads with bazooka's could walk up to it and blow it up, and they would lose maybe 1 or two models; the flak HQ can't kill tanks, so I expect it to stop infantry rushes which is what it does.
The flak HQ is perfectly balanced, and the only people who disagree are the same people who whined when they couldn't use two rifle squads to walk up to the flak truck and destroy it with bazooka's. |
You guys can't explain why A Sherman(Can't remember if it was the Easy Eight or regular Sherman) in a 2v2 went up to my flak truck and killed it; a lot of people are giving the flak truck a bit too much credit; it's good yes, but we expect it to be good for 80 fucking petrol but the fact is, it can't solo a tank and no amount of doctored pictures can change that. |
Now, we know by some leaks that the British Army is most likely to make a triumphant return to the field of battle, and while we know next to nothing regarding it's teching structure, units and etc, how do you believe the faction is going to be implemented? I doubt Relic are going to use the same template in CoH1 since the US has tiers via officers, and the OKW inherited the truck design from CoH1, so what will happen to the British Army? I'm personally hoping for the following:
-Teching structure like the Wehrmacht since it would relatively straight forward, and maybe easier to balance.
-The best anti-infantry in the game via Canadian Infantry or Royal Marine commandos. Canada has served the British Empire with distinction in a large amount of conflicts, so it would be nice to see Canadian troops in the British Army much like in real life(WW2). Winston Churchill once said "If I had Canadian soldiers, American technology and British officers, I would rule the World".
-Focused on fast moving attack maneuvers and versatile infantry/vehicles. The British Army was known for their elegant and extremely efficient operations, and they also beat the Americans to Europe mainland during Operation Overlord. CoH1 portrayed the British Army doctrine incorrectly, so i'm hoping they'll be a fast and hard hitting force for CoH2.
-No political correctness. This point directly ties into the poll question, but basically I want the British Army to be called exactly that, and not something generic like the Commonwealth Army. Australia, New Zealand, India, the UK, Palestine and etc were British subjects and hence they were considered part of the British Army. Not only that but countless soldiers who served in the Canadian Army(My Grandfather for example), Australian Army and etc considered themselves part of the British Army.
Let's keep it nice and simple, Relic. Call it the British Army and most people will be satisfied.
If Relic gets the British Army right, i'm literally only going to play the British Army so don't let me down Relic.
God save the Queen and may Richard the Lionheart lead you to eternal glory. |
The Schwerer is balanced I think. It can't take out Shermans(If their frontal armour is facing the flak truck), t-34's or any Russian heavy tanks which is fine; at the very least, they it can suppress infantry and deal a small amount of damage. For 80 petrol, I better get a truck that can do something.
Of course, the Allied Supreme Council of fanboys would want the flak truck to be reverted to its state near release where the damage was greatly reduced, and you could literally have a few Rifle squads with bazooka's walk up, ignore any damage and blow it up...god forbid the Allies actually have to micro and use unit abilities to take out the flak truck. I've lost my flak truck in team games more times than I can count because mortars, AT guns supported by infantry seem to be hard counters to it. |
I'll 1v1 you on 3 conditions:
1) I get to play as OKW
2)You can't use doctrines that include Shock Troops, Guards Infantry or the B4
3) I get to pick the maps(It'll be a best out of 3)
These conditions are more than fair I think, so if you agree we can settle who's the better player and who's more qualified to talk balance. |
Yes, those evil Russians and US. The German army was far superior in real life anyway. This game is unrealistic.
Considering it was, yeah there's no reason why US and Rus equipment should perform better than Krupp steel. For example, Guard infantry shouldn't be solo killing my Luchs supported by Volks, nor should Conscripts be able to force my Obersoldatens to retreat from the field. Anyways, I have faith Relic will address these issues and give the Russians and US much deserved and needed nerfs. |
Lol, L2Read. I have a 1v1 rank with all factions and a max higher AT rank than any of your ranks.
You L2Read. While your AT rank may be higher than my non-existant AT rank, it doesn't mean much since 2v2 AT doesn't require skill. 2v2 ranked random means that you can't make comprehensive plans prior to playing, neither can you talk with your teammate on the mic unlike in AT.
So let's compare what we both have, 1v1 ranked and 2v2 ranked random. As of now, my ranked 2v2 is much higher than your 50% win rate as USF since you can't even break the top500. My 1v1 rank would also be higher if it wasn't for ELO decay. Congratulations, I just proved that my stats are better; now that we got that out of the way, I see no reason for you to doubt my credentials.
Only thing you're qualified to do is to make a giant fool out of yourself, like you do in almost every thread you've ever posted in.
Many people that I played with in 2v2 ranked and on the official CoH forums agree that Guards and PTRS rifles are extremely potent, and are a game changer. You're the only one who doesn't seem to agree, strange isn't it?
For fucks sake, you got carried hard as fuck by DavidKH in a 2v2 by almost 2x dmg and kills, then came here and bragged about how hard you beat taxman66, a decent but not remarkably amazing player, like it was as if you beat Jesulin in 1v1.
No, I carried David. Watch the replay and you'll see that my build strategy and micro prevented us from losing the match. I only posted it because Taxman bragged he was a better player than me, so I decided to shut him down.
By acting like you have any authority whatsoever, you simultaneously discredit yourself of any voice you may have had, even at a trivial level.
Not even Sierra is as much of a blatant troll as you, he's just legitimately dumb/misguided.
I can't discredit myself since my facts are correct. Anyways, if you're done making personal attacks, it might be time to get back top the topic at hand which is how Guards and PTRS's are better than almost anything the Germans can field.
EDIT: I also play USF in 2v2 ranked so i'm not biased. |
Hopefully this patch delivers what's needed for CoH2 to thrive and expand:
-Announcement of the British Army returning to fight in the CoH franchise
-Nerfs to the US and Russian faction
-Progress update or a roadmap if you will
-announcement for new content
If Relic delivers any of these things for the next patch, my faith in them will increase. |
